Another beautiful wedding this past weekend for Kylie + Jake! The day was jam packed with everything from a gorgeous ceremony at St. Michael's in Galena, to a trolley ride, golf course outing, and a gorgeous Bentley getaway car. The DJ kept the party going strong and we saw some killer dance moves (splits!) and amazing toasts and speeches from loved ones. It was a beautiful day for an incredible couple!

A gorgeous day for Shannon and Kyle! I loved getting to be there to see them celebrate with family and friends and their adorable son! The hand made arbor was so beautiful overlooking the lake and jh Events and Flowers did a spectacular job on the gorgeous florals.

They are such an amazing couple and their friends and family knew how to party! Not hard to do when you have the legendary Mike from Alexxus Entertainment running the dance floor! They ended the night with an epic sparkler line where everyone sang to them as they ran through. It was a beautiful day from start to finish.

It was a stunning day at Steeple Square in Dubuque this past weekend where Leia and Thomas said I do in front of their closest friends and family in a gorgeous venue! I loved hearing how these two met and fell in love while attending Loras together. They both adore each other! What I loved seeing is the way they let each other be themselves. When some neighborhood kids were looking through the window, Thomas invited them in and gave them party favors and they both posed for pictures with them. Even on their wedding day, they were showing love and kindness to others instead of being all about themselves. They share such a unique kind spirit that shines through each of them differently. They compliment each other perfectly. After a stunning ceremony, their friends and family tore up the dance floor with the greatest DJ who kept the party raging all the way until they left in a lighted exit at the end of the night!

Alec + Kinsey had a stunning wedding day with gorgeous weather this past weekend. I have waited for this one for quite a while as they are literally one of the kindest, most fun, sweetest couples I have ever worked with! We had so much fun at their engagement session, we ended up almost closing the bar down! They rocked out everything from matching Louboutins, to a reception party dress change to a packed dance floor filled with family and friends that partied all night long.

When Kinsey was ready to walk out to meet Alec for their first look, a butterfly appeared and flew around her (Kinsey has a butterfly tattoo in memory of her grandmother) as if wishing good luck to her and just saying hello! It was such a beautiful moment!

The reception was so fun! I loved watching Alec and his brother serenade their grandma and bring her out onto the dance floor. The whole crowd sang "Sweet Caroline" and "living on a prayer" that Alec played in memory of his late friend. They danced with their mothers, drank from their signature drink menu dedicated to their dogs, and closed down the lounge bar for the after party!

There are some couples you just know are meant to be, and they are just that. You can tell in the gentle and kind way they speak to each other, steal looks at each other in a crowded room and make everyone laugh around them with their outgoing and funloving personalities. Alec's dad said Kinsey "lights up every room she is in" during his speech and that is absolutely her. She is so kindhearted and sweet to everyone she meets (she kept checking on me, other vendors and the people around her to make sure WE were doing okay and comfortable on HER wedding day!) She truly is just a special person. And for her to find Alec, another kindhearted person that doesn't sweat the small stuff and constantly tells her how beautiful she is, to share her life with is just amazing to see.

Congratulations to an incredible couple! I am so thankful I got to be part of such an incredible day! Congratulations Kinsey + Alec!

It was a magical day for Kaitlin + AJ! They were surrounded by family and friends as they said "I do" on the gorgeous Point Patio at Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa. Kaitlin was so sweet getting ready for the day and did a first look with her parents and brother, Zach. AJ had a great group of guys celebrating him and toasting to him as he got ready for the day. I loved seeing AJ and Katilin's relationship with their parents and their friends. The bridesmaids had me cracking up and of course I loved getting to know Ms. Cali, the adorable flower girl! She told Kaitlin "You look like a movie star!" when she came out in her dress for the first time. She was right!

The flowers and all the details came together so beautifully. They even had a record guest book where guests signed old records, which was so unique and fun for their friends and family. The ceremony was filled with unexpected moments that kept Kaitlin and AJ smiling at each other and sharing little laughs together. You can tell how much they truly adore each other!

The reception was so much fun as DJ, Brian, played amazing house music and we saw some amazing dance moves! I loved watching Megan, Katilin's friend since 2nd grade, give her such a sweet toast along with Alex who had us all laughing with funny stories about AJ!

Overall it was a beautiful day for a beautiful couple! Congratulations Kaitlin + AJ!

No drama, just llamas! Emma + Adam's wedding at Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa was nothing short of magical, with a charming twist! Between the rolling hills and romantic views, guests were delighted by two very special visitors, decked out in their very best! The whimsical theme carried right through to the reception, complete with the sweetest llama cake toppers. The whole day was a perfect blend of elegance, laughter and personality, making their day as unique and unforgettable as their nearly 10 year love story!

Oh man, so hard to find the right words for this wedding day! Let me tell you it was SO fun from start to finish, from the most STUNNING bride and groom to the amazing bridal party, family and friends that absolutely killed the dance floor and gave such amazing speeches to the details like the gorgeous memory table with different florals representing their loved ones that guests threw at the end of the aisle..it was one for the books!

Michelle lost her dad just a few years ago, and he was commemorated in such beautiful touches throughout the day-from a surprise dance with her dad's brothers to his bolo tie around her bouquet, to guests sharing amazing stories of him throughout the evening.

Michelle and Dan were surrounded by friends, recalling stories of how they met in high school and how hard Dan crushed on Michelle while she had no idea! DJ Sasha Savic absolutely killed and made the dance floor one of the most incredible parties, with guests breaking out in limbo to dance floor props, a bubble machine and more.

But my favorite part of the day was watching how Dan and Michelle look at each other in the in between moments. You can tell they really love each other and are going to have an amazing life together.

This was such an incredible wedding at the stunning Ashton Hill Farm in Galena this past weekend. Annie and Bob have been together for over ten years and were high school sweet hearts. The entire room was filled with so much love and celebration for the two of them. Their friends and family knew how to celebrate and couldn't have been more happy for them! They are one of the kindest couples I have had the pleasure of working with, they are always looking out for others and have dedicated their careers to helping children as school counselors. They have travelled the world together and now embark on their best journey yet! Congratulations Annie + Bob!

Shylo + Adam said I DO Oak Hill Farm in Apple River this past weekend in a small, intimate gathering with close friends and family. It was stunning from start to finish.

This couple is so incredibly kind and sweet, they had the most beautiful vows to each other and danced the night away! Shylo took Adam's breath away as she walked down the aisle. I loved seeing Shylo's first dance with her brother and how close they are. Adam's first dance with his mom, Monica, was so sweet and made everyone teary! The bride's mom, Lori, was incredible all throughout the day and did all of the flowers and decorating. She absolutely blew me away with her attention to all the beautiful details.

The night ended with a gorgeous sparkler exit with all of Shylo and Adam's close friends and family cheering them on!

Congratulations to an amazing couple, Shylo + Adam!

My name is Mollie and I am the creator of Wheat & Willow Photography. I am a mama of 4 beautiful, rowdy, piratish kids and almost wifey to a gorgeous, bearded tree-climber named Seth who is superdad when I am doing what I love: creating beautiful photographs for the modern human.
