Well, it’s been a crazy week and I didn’t get to share and celebrate our 4th anniversary ☘️! But, I have other news to share as well: We’re moving to a new downtown Elizabethton location 💚! Just a few doors up from our old location, you can now find us at 508 E. Elk Avenue. What a blessing. Let’s celebrate growing and going strong for the last 4 years ☘️💚☘️!

Yesterday we celebrated Christmas and no more chemo! Great food and fun times with the best dance family a teacher could ask for. My love to all of our families and a special thanks to Caitlin Brewer for pulling off such a big event! Tonight we have local Hampton legend performing Jiggy Ray's Downtown Pizzeria! I will have a table set up to take any donations for our local blanket drive. Any and all cold weather gear and supplies are appreciated! Blankets, heaters, propane stoves, hats and gloves will be helpful for our community. Financial donations accepted as well. These items will be distributed in the greater Hampton area. Come out for some great music and food!

Thank you to everyone who has donated to our blanket drive! ♥️♥️♥️ This is the first of the donations and we delivered them to Hampton Elementary School TN today to be distributed in the community. Our hearts are full of gratitude but it’s going to take more to get through the upcoming cold. It’s a marathon, not a sprint to recovery for our area.

Cold weather is coming to our area. So many have lost their homes and belongings. Many are still without power. We’re doing a blanket drive to get these out into our community in Hampton, Tn. This area was very hard hit by the flooding and we are doing all we can to help serve our community. These will be distributed to families in need.

Hurricane Helene has devastated our area but that’s not stopping us! Our studio is fine and dry!!! Classes resume today. We will dance on!

I did have to be evacuated from my home. Our little hometown was hit extremely hard. But those angels that are my dance families came through, working tirelessly to help us clean up. They brought food, water, and lots of love. I couldn’t feel more blessed and loved. Thank you 💚.

Angels walk amongst us.

I’ve seen more humanity and kindness in the last few days than I’ve seen in a long time. An army of dance families and strangers descended here yesterday to help us clean up. Giving selflessly of themselves and their time to help others. We couldn’t be more grateful.

Our local community hasn’t just pitched in and helped. They’ve given food, water, handshakes and hugs, prayers, love, and more. They showed up with chainsaws, strong arms, and even stronger hearts.

Carloads of people offering assistance from all over, just hoping to help relieve the burden:
A med student from Johnson City.
A carpenter from Elizabethton.
A retired canine officer.
My dancers and their families.
My own family.

Seeing people working tirelessly around us is wonderful and overwhelming in such an amazing way.

If you want to help then please donate to our local fire department Hampton Valley Forge TN Volunteer Fire Dept. This ensures our community gets the help they need.

We have seen the National Guard helicopters coming in to survey and rescue. But there’s been no other assistance here. This community has
been the ones feeding, supporting, and supplying each other, giving the shirts off their back to take care of others in the midst of their own suffering and cares.

We are strong and proud people here in southern Appalachia.

From our performance at the Roan Mountain Rhododendron Festival….somebody’s very first hornpipe! Great job at just 6 years old 💚Well done ladies!

It all started with two words: Rainbow Wig. I kept fighting these dancers that I would NOT wear a rainbow wig. Yet, here I am. Then we had to duel with the other two words: pool noodles. I must love these folks an awful lot lol!
