Hey I’ve been with my hubby 22 years this October 7th and we’ve never “officially” married but our vows to each other mean a lot if not more. We got together when I was 17 and this year was the year that our anniversary was on a Saturday. I didn’t want my date to change after this many years but one of the reasons we are finally doing it is because I have stage IV cancer and we are already past my “good” year they could guarantee me. I have a 7yr old daughter and a 10 yr old son as well so it’s also to create memories with them bc one of my biggest fears was them not remembering me on their own. The church down the road is donating their location and I’m gonna see what else my connections are willing to help with. I’m gonna decorate the day before and of course take my own photos lol and I basically have the majority of props I need. I also found a veil randomly one day last year that had hand sewn flower petals on it and something told me to get it. They gave it to me for $30!!!! So I’m seeing if anyone knows of a petite person who may have a blush wedding dress they are willing to part with. I am trying to gain weight but currently it bounces between 92-98lbs sadly. I’ve also had a double mastectomy at 36 but no reconstruction. if anyone or any store is willing to help or knows someone please I would be forever grateful!!

I would like for anyone who wants to exchange help to each other for a maternity shoot to contact me. I recently couldn’t do a shoot bc of side effects of my illness and I’d like to shoot with someone eventually. I have the dress too. These are not my photos but I have the dress and a hat to make a similar look if this speaks to you!

As many people know I’ve been battling cancer that went from stage II to stage IV this past year. I enjoy what I do immensely and still want to work as not to always feel as my life revolves or is dictated by my illness and not by my own choice. I am choosing to focus on my family and health while still taking jobs when I can to continue my own mental happiness which I believe the psychological is just as important as physical wellness and recovery. So please reach out for jobs if you’re interested which would keep me happy bc I can’t fully close my business which I am proud of building right after the passing of my father. I fully believe life hands you what you need to take from it to either better yourself or learn from it. While I obviously wouldn’t want cancer like anyone it has taught me to appreciate even more those around me who support me. I will be finishing out those who have already booked and expressed interest. I thank everyone who has reached out to me during this time of unknown and while there has been other tragedies surrounding my friends and family I think this holiday/fall season which is normally my favorite and busiest time of year will be scaled back. So few spots are available but please reach out and if I can’t I can always recommend wonderful people from the same trade who I respect and believe their work is amazing. Shorter sessions like the bo***ir and holiday minis will always be available. I just want to be upfront in my battle against breast cancer and the fight to remain the mother to my beautiful children for as long as I can manage to remain strong enough to show them one can find strength and positivity even when you don’t feel it all the time. I love this line of work and I hate that my illness has interfered. I think that if I take some time to just be available for those interested instead of actively seeking out jobs is better for me temporarily. I hope the meaning of this message is coming across bc it’s a hard thing for someone who has always worked to scale back. I appreciate everyone who is part of my photography family and hope to better serve those in the future by being healthier and rejuvenated from taking a partial break. Thank you to those who support me and share all my posts. You know who you are!!

Back on March 25th I offered a specifically breast cancer centered bo***ir session contest with of course options to always book but being through the courses of breast cancer man or woman requires special understanding with some. As many know I’ve dealt with stage two that is now stage IV and I know what it is to go from misshaped to flat and scarred. I understand when you look in the mirror you don’t see yourself or maybe you do but you’re not thrilled. I want to offer my assistance to any who have experienced any cancer but I want women to know they’re just as beautiful now as ever. Please share and we will make you the guest of all honors.

I want to recommend and immensely thank my friend Jimmy Pierce and say how fabulous he made my event. It was the perfect balance flowing from princess songs to a mix with adult kid friendly choices, and the ones everyone has to come show their moves! I never thought I was listening to kids lineup and stayed entertained. This is someone who meets your needs and is an amazing dj. Okay if you can shoot March 13 or 20th, I will open the bo***ir Enchanted Woods shoots to one hour for $100. You do not have to do the bunny look but it will be outdoor bo***ir with a slightly dark edit and we are thinking of this one waterfall location that is private. Some props provided and you do hair and makeup. I will assist if help is needed and this is all edited photos and you get all photos that come out fabulous.
