Hi Facebook people! It’s been a full year since my last post, and there’s a reason for that. I’ve been keeping a little secret from you. Towards the end on 2018 I decided that 2019 would be last year for Rock and Rhythm. On Sunday I performed my last event, an afternoon wedding at Cameron Estate Inn. What an incredible journey this has been! I’ve told most of my clients the story, but I started DJing back around 1989 in the Philly area, moved into radio around 1994/95 and then gave it all up to move to Central PA about the turn of the century. Later, my wife’s cousin asked me to DJ a wedding for her around 2010/2011 which rekindled my love of DJing and kicked off a side business for me that’s lasted almost the entire decade. During this time I’ve had amazing experiences, had a lot of fun, jumped around like a goofball behind my “turntables”, and got to be a part of a lot of couples most special days.
I would like to thank all of the couples that allowed me to play a part in their weddings, most of the venues and vendors I’ve worked with, and all of the people that have put up with my bad photography on this page. Also, thanks to the many people that referred me to other friends or relatives. That one wedding I did for a cousin started a string of linked weddings that led through every year until this year. I’m really proud of that.
I’m also thankful for my family allowing me to be absent so many weekends to follow my passion for this work. I’ll be spending more time with them now.
I’ll post a bunch is 2019 pictures that I’ve been saving, but this one picture is probably the most fitting picture for me to go out with. As the sun sets behind my set up, and with a checkered floor below (which if you know me well it’s kind of my thing), it’s the right time to say, “Goodnight Now Ladies and Gentlemen.”
