EEEEK so excited to finally share this!!! WOAH WOAH WOAH!!! Thank youuuuuu for voting for us for BEST OF VIDEO! Doors we didn’t even know could open have been popping up for us this year and it’s been such a testament to us of the power of community & connection. Thank you to each of you for taking the time to notice us, to cheer us on and for allowing us to be a part of so many special events! We are SPEECHLESS 😭😭
We cannot wait for the award party in July at 💃🪩 to sit with friends of the industry to celebrate with them and to celebrate the various talents this state has to offer - LET’S GOOOOOO!!!

She’s giving….Jennifer Aniston 🔥🔥 Aleya is such a beautiful person inside and out!! We’ve already discussed her future wedding 🤪 and I’ve declared that she’s going to be the face of a magazine some day 🙌 Couldn’t be happier capturing her professional pics and her U of M graduation photos

This is also just your daily reminder that I do more than just weddings! I actually get asked this question a lot, if I do other types of sessions, and the answer is emphatically YES - from maternity, newborns, family, bo***ir, seniors, interior design and branding. I love being able to capture it all 💕

AVAILABILITY UPDATE
Until mid-June I’ll be much slower at responding to emails, inquiries and the like. We lost our amazing preschool last week after they announced that they were closing - we’ve had our two youngest kids grow with them for the past 3 years and it was the best experience I ever could have asked for as a mama.
But we are on a new adventure now, and if I’m being honest, I think having my youngest around during the day has been a life saver for me.
All this to say: we’re still here!!! Just might be a little quieter for a while 😊

Tonight we shoot the spring fling event at (looking forward to seeing some familiar faces there and meeting new people!) Then tomorrow morning we fly out to sunshine and palm trees. We’ll be soaking up 80 degree weather when we land! SOOOO pumped! We haven’t had a family trip together in 6 years, so it is long overdue. But while I’m gone, in the event of an emergency, hit the panic button on your keyboard 😉

Traveling to Clara and Tanners home town of La Crosse this past fall and going to all of their favorites spots had me feeling like I was reading a love story: stepping into places that these two had shared some of their favorite moments together over the years. Lots of new faces here - HEY! 👋 It’s been a while since we’ve introduced ourselves - We are Ricky & Natalie - a husband and wife photo & video duo. We started back in 2013 shooting together, but as our family continued to grow we stopped our business (I vowed to never go back 😂 ) in 2017. Funny how things change. In the beginning of 2020, right before COVID hit and quarantine, I decided to dive back into the business. We rebranded - new name and new look, basically starting from scratch again. And here we are, 2023, with loads of experience from the years since we started, many adventures, our eyes set on the future and our hearts full of joy - we are SO glad you’re here.

Ricky and I can’t thank you all enough for being with us this past year - for supporting us & rooting for us! Thank you to all the couples, venues, vendors and other creatives that helped share our work - without you where would we be? When I went full-time back in April there was so much uncertainty about how things would look in the months ahead…but I’m happy to say that this past year has been AMAZING, praise God!!! The people that we’ve met, the friendships we’ve made and the memories from this past years excursions will always be so special to me. There were many lows and honestly, there always will be, but growth is never absent of pain….Only going up darlin’! Cheers to all of you! I look forward to seeing you in the new year 🥂

Our story

Rewind to several months after we started dating, 2013. I found an old pile of film negatives and black and white prints and showed them to Ricky. I mentioned how much I missed photography, working in a dark room and how much I enjoyed working at the once known photography shop called ProEx. Ricky encouraged me to pick up a camera again - and like sunshine for a flower I sprung to life. Something in me just started putting the pieces together: I got a cheap camera kit, started taking pictures of family, scoured craigslist for opportunities to shadow a photographers at weddings, and just like that we started a business.

Engagement sessions, family portraits, high school graduation sessions, newborns, cake smashes, mud runs, business events, business headshots, weddings, weddings and weddings - I filled every weekend and every evening with appointments with potential clients, editing photos, doing sessions and being at events, all while raising our 3 children and working full-time. I was beyond busy!

Steadily our little family grew - now with 4 children, we are overjoyed with the laughter, mischief and sound of little feet scurrying across our 1911 hardwood maple floors. It is constant chaos in our home but I can tell you this: parenting gets easier after child #3. It’s not that bad, really. We’re still alive, right!? (SOS: please send help! Particularly help with laundry, dishes and house cleaning...)

We’re not just photographers or videographers - we are conquerors of addiction, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, financial uncertainty and so much more. We are here for all and have open arms regardless of where you are or what you believe in.
