LEX 530 is partnering with the 530 Wine Bar to host a special Mother's Day Brunch on Sunday, May 8th. This 21 and over only brunch will be held from 11 am to 3 pm. Cost is $25 per person for entrée, toast, fresh fruit and beverage of choice (including several kinds of special brunch mimosas).

LEX 530 Event Center in Elkhart, Indiana, is seeking a dynamic, highly organized and focused event director who understands the true meaning of teamwork and does whatever it takes to get the job done. Our perfect candidate should have at least two years in event management, and we would love for you to have a degree in hospitality or marketing. As our manager of events, you will oversee all the steps of every event at our center -- from taking the client’s first call or visit to organizing the tear-down at the end of the event – and of course every step in between!

You

You’re an energetic, passionate self-starter who wants to help your clients create events that will make amazing memories. You are not easily flustered, especially when plans change or priorities shift. You’re good at changing directions fast; remaining flexible while sometimes wearing multiple hats (or even every piece of clothing in the closet when necessary). You thrive under pressure and want to make every event you touch be the best it can be. You care about your team and are able to check your ego at the door to get things done.

Responsibilities

Manage all events at our amazing center

Meet with clients to work out event details

Work closely with our in-house executive chef

Maintain a working relationship with staff and vendors

Anticipate guest needs and ensure that service exceeds expectations to ensure a memorable and pleasant experience

Coordination and supervision of all event details (staffing, entertainment, audio/visual, food and beverage services, security, electrical, decorating, clean-up)

Close out all events

Assist with preparing in-house budgets and provide weekly progress reports on upcoming events

Follow up with clients after events to make sure they are satisfied

Full-time flexible hours are required (able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays)
