Greetings friends!!
We are making progress every day towards getting our farm back on track on ready to host our friends! As a reminder, we are not quite ready to host our full scale rated competitions and have had to cancel the following USEF shows:
-End of Summer at Quail Run: August 29 - September 1, 2024
-Indian Summer in Elkhorn: September 5-8, 2024

However, we are excited to announce that we plan to host an O.M.A.H.A. circuit schooling show instead of these rated shows. We will be hosting this show on Saturday and Sunday: August 31 - September 1, 2024.

Greetings friends!
We hope that the summer has been treating you well.

After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the remaining UEE shows for 2024. This includes:
-End of Summer at Quail Run: August 29 - September 1, 2024.
-Indian Summer in Elkhorn: September 5-8, 2024.

A lot has been accomplished here at Quail Run since the tornado that took place on April 26th. Most of the debris has been picked up and damaged structures have been removed. As a farm and training facility we've been fortunate enough to continue on. Our Main Stable has remained operational, our pastures and outdoor rings have been cleared and are usable, and our "indoor ring" is also able to be used with its new open-air feature. However, much of the show infrastructure is still needing attention. New judges and starter booths will need to be rebuilt, our stabling barn will need repair, new electrical infrastructure will be needed, and as we get into the thick of it, we will find some more items that need attention.

It has always been our goal to provide the best product to our exhibitors as we can, and thus we believe in order to provide that we will be needing some more time to bring the facility back to the level that is consistent with that goal. Thank you to everyone that has supported us through this process! We are extremely fortunate, and we appreciate all of you!

Greetings friends!
Here is an update from Quail Run!

We continue to be amazed at the incredible amount of support that our friends, family, barn family, equine community, and community at large have provided us this past week. The amount of work that has been done is monumental. In just 1 week from the incident, we have accomplished an immense amount of general cleanup around the property and have made the necessary repairs to allow for some pasture turnout for our horses. Additionally, we have opened up one of our outdoor arenas for riding/longeing.
None of this would be possible without all the helping hands that have been here every day. There are way too many people to thank, but we appreciate every one of you who has helped from near or far. Seeing the horses enjoy the outdoors again and being able to ride again has brought us some much needed joy and healing.

That being said, there is still much work, repair, and construction that has yet to take place. We were very much hoping that we could be organized in time for the next set of events to take place here at Quail Run, but the reality is the road to recovery will be a bit longer than expected.

So, sadly, we at Urban Equine Events and Quail Run have made the difficult decision to cancel our next event:
Springtime Sunshine at Quail Run - May 30-June 2, 2024.

Our goal is to always provide the best product possible to our supporters, and in this case, we feel we just won't be quite ready to provide the level of quality that we strive to create.

UPDATE:
Thank you to all of you have asked how to provide assistance, financial or otherwise, as we deal with the aftermath of this devastating storm. As some of you know a GoFundMe page has been started, which is very kind and greatly appreciated. The amount of support already shown via this avenue is mind blowing! We cannot thank you enough. There is another alternative that allows for your contributions to be tax deductible donations. The Omaha Equestrian Foundation (a 501c3 charitable organization) has started a tornado relief fund for equestrians impacted by the storm. You can go to their donation page (https://omahaequestrian.org/support/individual/) and make a tax deductible donation to them and in the Program Description, put Tornado Relief.
That or you can mail a check to Omaha Equestrian Foundation at 1004 Farnam Street, Omaha, NE 68102 and make a note in the memo line that it is for Tornado Relief. They will then work with us to defray our expenses as we rebuild. We hope that you will take advantage of their offer to help us as it is more tax advantaged for you and works great for us.

Hello friends!
It has been an interesting few days. Yesterday, while hosting a show at our farm, Quail Run Horse Centre, we were directly hit by a tornado. Thankfully, all of the people present during the event are completely fine. A few equine friends have sustained minor injuries, but all have been seen a veterinarian and are currently undergoing treatment. The facility did sustain some heavy damage, but when all things are considered, we were extremely lucky. Many people and businesses nearby have suffered much more serious devastation. We will continue to keep those who were most heavily affected in our prayers.

Today we were shown an immense amount of love and support from both our equine community and our local community. An army of volunteers came forth to begin the cleanup process. We appreciate every one of you. There is still much work to be done, but your support today gives us hope for the future. The work will continue tomorrow and more details on how to help will come to light in the next few days.

To the exhibitors present at the show. Thank you for displaying such grace, patience, and understanding as we navigated this horrific event. We went through this unforgettable experience together and I am grateful we now have an epic story to tell. I am so thankful everyone made it out safely.

To our boarders and clients. Your support is absolutely unapparelled. The number of calls, texts, love, and physical help you have already provided is amazing. We love our barn family. Thank you from the bottom or our hearts.

To our invaluable crew. We are in debt to you on a regular basis on a good day, but your efforts and hard work during this difficult time is a debt that we will never be able to repay. All of you are incredible and we couldn't do any of this without you. Thank you is not enough.

We will get through this. Thank you again to all.

Greetings all!
We regret to inform you that we have had to make the difficult difficult decision to cancel the UEE Goodtime Days show that was scheduled for Oct 6-9, 2022. Unfortunately there were not enough entries expected to proceed with hosting the whole event.

However, it may be possible to still run an unrated and USHJA Outreach event on Saturday and Sunday, Oct 8-9, 2022. If this interests you, please reach out to Dan Urban at 619-820-3802. If there are enough people interested we will develop a schedule and sens send it out!
