This auction is being held in the Gathering Barn at the Martin Homeplace because the auction company needs a building withair conditioning and wifi. The farm being sold is on Coal Bank Road.

To honor the life of my father, we have created a memorial prayer garden. It is close to the pond in the area that was once a trap range. The family hopes people who visit will enjoy spending time there.

This is a special treasure to me—my granny, Ellis Shanklin Martin, singing Blue Ridge Mountain Blues.

I have many fond memories of her singing and playing her guitar and banjo on the porch at what is now known as the Martin Homeplace.
