It's been a while since I've posted an introduction so here goes nothing!

Hello, I’m Mollie, owner and lead florist at Lilac + Honey Floral Design Studio.

Lilac + Honey was founded in late summer of 2022, after I relocated back to Washington from Florida, where I had spent a year working at a florist shop. During my time in Florida, I developed a passion for floristry and began refining my skills. After moving in with my sister and her family in Ellensburg, I set my sights on turning my dream of owning a floral business into a reality.

The first year was challenging as I navigated the complexities of being a small business owner. By the second year, things began to flow more smoothly, though it still required a great deal of effort. Now, as I approach 2 1/2 years in business, I can confidently say that while the journey has been demanding, it’s also been incredibly rewarding. Running a business comes with its share of obstacles, but I’m steadily growing and learning along the way.

When I’m not in the studio, I am working at The Botany Shop, spending quality moments with my partner and our cats, or caring for my extensive indoor plant collection.

I am deeply grateful for the unwavering support from this community over the past 2 ½ years. The long hours and hard work are all worth it when I get to bring joy to others through the beauty of flowers.
