This young couple got married on Saturday, June 8, 2024 in a cabin at one of my favorite places, Amicalola Falls State Park. It was a beautiful day with a nice breeze blowing and plenty of sunshine. The little one's adorable dress matched the groom's shirt and as usual, she stole the show. No one seemed to mind though!

Now these two really know how to have a fun wedding! The picture on the right is me with the "Flower Man" who did his job perfectly, flicking flowers just where they needed to be. The ladies got married at RML Affairs in Gainesville on Saturday, June 1, 2024. These two also had a beautiful tree watering ceremony, to symbolize the roots of their relationship and the continued growth of their love, as they became each other’s family that day. This was another unique thing they did that was truly special! Great memories!

This couple got married at Big Canoe by the lake beside the Clubhouse there on Friday May 31, 2024. As you can see by the picture, it was a lovely, cool day just perfect for a wedding! I sure wish all the venues could be this way but Mother Nature has other plans sometimes and we have to follow her whims. They had a lovely reception there as well and everyone enjoyed themselves tremendously.

This couple from India got married on May 2, 2024 at Thompson Bridge Creek Park in Dawsonville. That park is really hard to find and get to! They did bring an interpreter to make sure everything was understood properly, and I signed the marriage license for them. They then took it to the Courthouse on the way back to Gainesville on their lunch break. It was a beautiful day and place for a wedding and it all went well!

This couple got married at Summit Farms on April 6, 2024 with plenty of sunshine and lots of wind! It still turned out to be beautiful in spite of the cold. I got lost on the way to the venue but made it in time. They got married and that's the important thing!

Finally I got this picture posted! Things changed and I spent days trying to figure it out. My friend who normally helps me was gone over the holidays. This lovely couple got married on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 because it was a special day in their love story. Thankfully the weather was relatively warm! The ceremony was done in English and Mandarin Chinese for the parents and some of the guests, so it was an interesting day. They had a cute caricature picture made of them which is in the picture as well!

The last wedding I did in October was on Halloween, October 31, 2023 at the Jasper GA courthouse. We met there and this sweet couple said their own vows to each other in a quiet corner of the building and exchanged rings. Then all they had to do after I signed it was take it up to the clerk of the court's office and file it. Very efficient! This is the last of the late postings I had because of FB changing things so I couldn't figure it out anymore. I got it now!

These two were going to get married at Amicalola Falls State Park on October 28, 2023, but it was WAY too crowded so I came over to the cabin they had rented instead. It turned out to be great because they had this beautiful river running right by it. It was much more peaceful I'm sure. I'm finally getting this posted because of changes in FB so that I couldn't figure out how to put pictures in anymore. I finally got help and am back posting again

Shhh - it's a secret! I married a couple on October 26, 2023 but they wanted to have a ceremony later with all of their family there. Now we just did a quick exchange of vows and rings so that's why this picture is here. I'm late getting this one out too because of the changes with FB where what I had learned was changed and I couldn't get the pictures in. I need to borrow someone's 13 year old kid - they could probably fix it right off the bat!

This couple got married at the Barn at Young Harris GA in an open field on a perfectly gorgeous day October 28, 2023. I'm late getting this picture out because FB changed the procedure somewhere along the line and I had to get help figuring it out again. That's the challenge of Social Media, but these two are just as married, despite the delay in posting this.

These two got hitched on Tuesday September 26, 2023 at a creekside cabin in Ellijay. It was a beautiful sunshiny day with a very pleasant temperature and it worked out perfectly. They had a simple ceremony with just the two of them and me as the officiant so it was a quick one. It's always hard to take a picture of three people with a cell phone but we managed even though the sun was right behind us. I like to think of it as a halo for me!

After a break from weddings for a little while, I married this couple at Juliette Chapel in Dahlonega on Friday September 8, 2023. We had been having lots of rain from storms, but luckily it held off on this day and was actually nice and cool. They set up a lovely reception area all around the grounds and it was one of the prettiest ones I have seen there. Beautiful couple and beautiful day - what more could you ask?

On Friday July 21, 2023, I married this couple at his parent's beautiful cabin in the North GA mountains. We had a terrible storm the night before that bordered on hurricane strength winds and more rain was forecast for Friday. Thankfully, it held off for the ceremony and started sprinkling just a little after I pronounced them married. They must have lucky shamrocks or something!

For Valentine's Day, this couple decided to get married and I officiated the ceremony. They chose this day so that they could remember it each year. That's actually kind of common! They are so cute in their matching sweatshirts. I wore a red suit for the occasion because I could actually get back into it finally! Yahoo! And of course, the color was appropriate for the day. I even wore my Valentine socks! Several dogs were official witnesses for the day.

On the MLK Jr. holiday, January 16, 2023, I married this couple at my house because they wanted just a simple, quick ceremony. They will have a bigger celebration with their families later on in the year. It pushed me to get my house straightened up and cleaned before they came so that was good motivation! It just goes to show that I can do weddings both great and small, tailored to the desires of the couple. Your wedding, your way!

This couple that I married on Dec. 26, 2022 sure knew how to have fun! It was a challenge for me to maintain my professionalism. 😃After all the "I do's" were over, the bride picked up her husband and carried HIM over the threshold! Underneath that beautiful white dress, she wore literal army boots, because she was in Basic Training for the Army. Now that's the kind of gal that I want around protecting me and my country! You go, girl!

On Veterans Day November 11, 2022 I married this couple at Juliette Chapel in Dahlonega GA. Hurricane Nichole had just gone through (thankfully!) and although it was wet, it had stopped raining for the 6:00 PM wedding. I have had cataract surgery and while my vision is great now, I am seeing halos around approaching car lights. Therefore I had to get Brian to take me over there and bring me back because I can't see the road when cars are approaching. It all worked out well in the end!

It had been raining off and on all day, but this couple finally caught a break where it stopped long enough to get great pictures of them. The day was Saturday, September 10, 2022 at At Willow Falls Resort in Blue Ridge Georgia. The venue was a little challenging to find, but the wedding went off beautifully. The couple wisely chose to have the ceremony inside and they are now finally married!

After raining off and on all day long, this couple caught a break and had perfect conditions for taking pictures. This was on Saturday September 10, 2022 at At Willow Falls Resort in Blue Ridge Georgia. They had wisely chosen to move the ceremony inside and it went beautifully! The venue was a little challenging to find but I finally made it and they are now married!

Saturday August 6, 2022 I married a couple from out of state at Summit Farm Wedding Venue in Ellijay off of Roy Road. It was a frantic day for me because a big delivery truck carrying the siding for a steel home being built beside me got stuck on the road right in front of my house at 4:00 PM. The wedding was at 5:00 and the truck got unstuck at 4:40 PM. I just barely made it by 5 - luckily it was relatively close by. They got married a little late but were finally legally hitched!

Today Thursday July 28, 2022 I officiated a wedding for a couple in a cabin near me just over the line into Gilmer County. They had everything set up before I got there and a pop-up shower made them have to pull everything inside. By the time I got there, it had stopped, so we put it all back outdoors and they proceeded to get married, in spite of the dampness. We did a timed selfie of us.

They were troopers! We did a timed selfie to get this picture.

Another day blessed with a reprieve from the rain long enough for me to officiate this wedding! This was on Monday July 11, 2022 at my favorite place, Amicalola Falls, on a little path by a small waterfall. The water was roaring after all the rain and I had to try to project my voice so all could hear! It was nice and cool again with a wet path underneath, but the ceremony turned out well.

On a soggy Sunday, July 10, 2022, I married this couple at Wildcat Campground in Dawsonville. It stormed mightily all night and morning, but cleared up in time for the 2:00 wedding. They set up a beautiful arch by the river and the ceremony went well. They chose lavender as their color, which coincidentally perfectly matched the color of my Universal Brotherhood mantle. It was nice and cool also and turned out to be a great day to get married!

06/11/2022

This couple got married on Friday June 10, 2022 at a cabin in Blue Ridge with their best doggie in tow, wearing an appropriate scarf. The decorated fireplace and the weather were both beautiful. Finding the cabin was a challenge though, due to technical and operator errors with the GPS. The voice directions feature was turned on but the volume was not and I couldn't figure it out. One of the (younger) wedding party fixed it for me so I could get back home. Blessings to her!
