Got this baby gecko home, wounds cleaned, steril environment set up, a hide, a water dish, and some sterilized leaves for it to hide in. Putting it in the baby rack for some heat on the warm end. Will update you on it eating hopefully small dubia roaches! Awww little buddy is already exploring its new house!

Rescue in progress! Just got a call about a gecko that was found in a construction demolition!
Headed out and am so happy that the equipment operator found this little baby and got in touch with us! Thanks to pet sence of laurel for always giving out our info for rescue! Updates will be coming!
This baby house gecko is tiny and dropped its tail. Will do our best to get this little guy healthy and back in his natural environment!

Boy howdy has this been a process. But we are proud to say that pending a few signatures and acceptance by the Sec. of States office the HERE Rescue will not just be a non profit but a state recognized charity organization! We will still be applying for 501(c3) status in the near future, but that may still be a bit before we can take that step. Yall keep your fingers crossed that all the paperwork goes through smoothly!

We had such an amazing time at the 5th Annual Faery Court Ball: Court of the Djinn! We can't thank thank the amazing people of Kitsune Fire Dance & oddities for recommending us when a spot opened up! This was by far and long one of the most fun events we have EVER participated in! We cannot wait to he back again next year!

As the last photo shoot fell through, I’m currently working with a local photographer to do shots with rescue and education animals for a calendar!
If you would like to participate please leave a contact name number on pm! The shots will be in laurel and done on a Saturday and Sunday, hopefully in October, or early November. We need men, women, children… lots of fun! We will be shooting for a 2026 calendar for now.
Maybe after we get the calendar shots we will offer exotic animal portraits?
We will see how it goes!

Update: The little man got a new home on a petting zoo farm! He’s going to be loved and fed and have his own little heard! Thank you to everyone who responded!
ISO: Home for a 35 pound male potbellied pig. Pet only! Sadly his owner has passed away, so his family is looking for a great home for his sweet pet!
We don’t have an enclosure for a pig at the rescue right now. So it’s your lucky day! Pm for more info and get u a sweet piggy buddy.

Do yall remember this baby, the one Momma T went and rescued from under a house last Thanksgiving? Well it's made a full turn around and is looking AMAZING!

We have no idea how or why this snake was found under someone's house but we are so glad they called us out to pick it up! You can see in the other photo how this poor thing had puncture wounds up and down its body, it was so horribly emaciated and we weren't sure it was going to make it, boy are we glad we were wrong!

We're still deciding what we are going to do with this little baby, we may just wind up adding him to our education program, we haven't decided yet.

Dreamer update! We finally had some time to app get together and get some pictures together to give yall a bunch of updates over the next few days!

As you can see Dreamer is a whole new snake after his time in Momma T's Care! Yall remember how rough of shape this little fighter was in when we took him and many others in early this year.

This just goes to show how far a little extra love and compassion can go.

Hey folks, Buckle up because this is gonna be a big post lol.

First of all we wanted to make sure we told everyone about how rescuepalooza went back in June. We managed to raise over 1500 dollars for the rescue that day between entry fees, vendor donations, and silent auction bids as well as merch sales which is amazing! We did indeed have some plans for all of that, we wanted to begin renovating one of our other buildings to become a quarantine house so we could begin our 501(c3) filing.... and then.... things went nuts.

Our rat house AC units broke down 3 times since then, which those repairs are not cheap, Momma T helped cover that to the tune of about 1000 dollars each time. Our circulator fans broke down so we had to replace those and they are 100 bucks a piece, but the rattery is our life blood right now, it provides for all of our animals and helps bring in atleast enough to keep itself running by providing our local breeders and hobbiests with healthy well reared non aggressive feeders.. Our numbers are increasing as we get our system more efficient thanks to the tireless efforts of Mr. Nick, and as many of our followers know, we produce some wonderful quality rats so that had to be handled. Not to mention loosing our Orignal rat master Mr. Lee due to health issues, we miss him very much but we want him to remain healthy and not in chronic pain for busting his butt in the rat house, he will eventually be back with Momma T helping with the snakes as soon as he is doing better.

Then we had the ACs in 2 different cars go out, we can't transport our animals in the Mississippi heat to events without AC so we managed to get that handled too, luckily we have some skilled mechanics and good friends that helped us fix that for way less than anticipated. All told it cost us about 210.00 across both cars to get the ACs back up so we could once again transport animals safely.

Then a transmission went out on miss Trinas Yukon we rely on that as basically our freight vehicle. We use it to get the 2 tons of rat food a month we need, pick up large enclosures, as well as loading all of our hardware for shows and events. were still working on fixing that....

Now you may have noticed our social media presence has been a but scarce lately, well that's because Zander who handles 99% of the social media work had to take a new job to help keep things rolling. This eats up a solid 50+hrs a week for him so it's difficult for us all to get together and actually make some content. We are all working together to try and help make things a bit more efficient on that end but we can only do so much so fast.

We still have a bunch of the rescues we took in earlier this year, shark bite is healing well, lumpy is doing well, and Dreamer is a whole new snake! We've adopted out quite a few of those intakes as well over the past few months!

As for our 501(c3) that is still very much the plan. There are alot of extenuating and personal circumstances that have prevented us from pursuing that at this moment, there are things in the works that we kinda have to keep under wraps but as soon as we can talk about it we will be sure to let everyone know!

All this is to say that even though we have been quiet, we haven't gone anywhere. Life is tough for us all right now and we have to make the responsible decision to pump the breaks, fix what we can, when we can. Make sure we can take care of the animal's we have taken in up to this point to the best of our abilities and continue to provide you all with the utmost dedication and transparency we can offer.

We will try and post as often as we can but sometimes we may be quiet for a bit. We promise yall this though. What is in the works with us is going to be something beyond yalls wildest dreams. All we need is yalls continued trust and support and we guarantee it will all come to bear fruit.

We love you all and are so grateful for you all, we can't wait to get back to a state of equilibrium and be back to giving yall the content and updates you deserve.
