Our mission is to unite women of our community in the study of social, literary, economic and other vital problems. The Elm Grove Woman’s Club engages in benevolent, educational, literacy, civic and charitable enterprises & pursuits. We want to bring an organized social center for united study, thought, action and cooperation with other organizations for the progress and welfare of the community.
Volunteer and Charitable Efforts
We continue the tradition of supporting these causes through providing donations and volunteers. In addition to the generous support our members provide at each monthly meeting by donating items and money to local nonprofits such as The Hope Center, Repairers of the Breach and Waukesha Literacy Council, we also provide volunteers for The Food Pantry of Waukesha County, The Woman’s Center of Waukesha County and Prevent Blindness Wisconsin. We continue to look for other volunteer opportunities and welcome suggestions as Volunteers are the glue that holds a community together!

Our History
From our beginnings in 1939, our group of women have been sharing cultural, social, civic and philanthropic ideas, with a strong desire to serve the needy, support the community and foster new friendships. In the past we made beanbags for sick children at the Children’s Hospital and during World War 2 rolled bandages. In 1943 we distributed the first “Village of Elm Grove Directory” servicing the public and in 1954 we opened the clubhouse through fundraising activities such as dances, luncheons, style shows and rummage sales, many things we still do today.
Since the beginning, we have grown and flourished as our organization has provided funding and durable goods for local educational institutions, hospitals and charities. Today, the dream lives on as our club has evolved to reflect the women of today. Our 200 members exemplifies diverse talents, outlooks, and broad interests.
