It was so much fun and a pleasure to capture ICCP's pre prom photos. The ladies looked spectacular in their gowns and gents were stylin' - for their big night. Making it extra special was getting to see several of the kids I have known since they were little. Some had changed so much I could barely recognize them.

We put the images together in a fun photo montage to music. It is a great keepsake for these kids and a send off as they start the next chapter in their journey.

Best of luck to ICCP's Class of 2024. Go be EXCEPTIONAL!

A wind and therefore a sand storm zero'd in on Butterfield Park last night. It was something! Honestly surprised I was able to capture these images for Girls Rockies vs Cardinals. Sand is NOT a camera's friend.

These girls had the team spirit and wanted to "play on" despite the gusts of sand rolling across the field. "PLAY BALL!"

EBSL's Giants vs White Sox game at Butterfield Park last night had perfect baseball weather. Not to mention some of the cutest kids in Elmhurst. Here are just a few images to highlight the game.

Visatation School had an early visit from the cicadas last night. Kindergarten, First and Second graders had the stage buzzing!!! The band (5th - 8th grade) kicked the night off ...always so amazed at the talent. Hats off to Mr. Hardin and Mrs McMurray, Visitation's awesomely talented music teacher and band leader. They are truly a gift.

First session in my studio (Yeah!). It worked perfectly- soft beautiful light and space for 4 different backdrops. These two little angels were the perfect pair to break it in. Seems like yesterday I was photographing them with their smash cake on their first birthday. In a couple weeks they will be celebrating their First Holy Communion. In the blink of an eye!

This gave me a whole new perspective on "taking your pet for a walk." It's not everyday I am downtown Elmhurst and see pet birds out for a stroll. What was even more strange was this was the second person (totally unrelated) in a week I witnessed out walking with their bird. This woman was a magnet for the camera - how could I resist???

Before March comes to an end I wanted to share a few images from one of the best St. Patty's Day parades. Elmhurst celebrates the Irish all the way up Spring road. March's weather tends to be a bit unpredictable, but we got "lucky" this year with a beautiful sunny day. There were men in kilts, politicians shaking hands, bands, Irish dancers and lots of candy being passed out. Spring road restaurants and pubs packed for a taste of some green beer and good eats. Oh....and the music! ...I can still hear those bag pipes and it makes me want to do a little jig.

What a way to wrap up school just before Spring Break. Visitation School in Elmhurst performed the musical Footloose in mid March. The Arts Alive program at Visitation has been wowing audiences for over 20+ years. I have been fortunate to capture their last 13 performances. These kids are truly AMAZING!

There have certainly been shows which have stood out in the last 13 years, but this one had an energy that was really powerful. The Arts Alive program is one of the many things Visitation offers that differentiates them. The experience these kids get putting on these performances and all the effort they give in preparing is immeasurable.

On March 3rd a crowd of 700+ people walked through the doors of Modern Plate / Stage 119 (Elmhurst) to support Moira Papp, an Elmhurst local, and her mission to find a cure for Stiff Person's Syndrome. She has been making big waves in true "Moira Fashion" since she was diagnosed with SPS last year.

It only took a split second to look around the massive room filled with people (wall to wall) on a Sunday afternoon to realize what an impact she has made. Moira and her support staff did an amazing job putting this event together down to the very last detail. So many moving parts seamlessly working together.

I love seeing the Elmhurst community do what we do best and that is rallying around those who need us. We can all help by increasing awareness of the very rare disease.

Recruited a few talented painters to help me spruce up my new space. SO EXCITED to finally have a studio to call my own. Thank you to all of the business owners who have let me use their space for my clients but I am elated to have my very own space to create!

Painting this week- floors next week. Move in the following week. Can’t wait! Seriously- it is a wish I have had for the last 5 years. It will take a bit before I have it the way I imagine, but it will be functional soon.

I will still be doing sports , families on location and all of the fun events I have been photographing. Just expanding the possibilities. Stay tuned!

Breakfast with the Bunny and so much more! A little magic, crafts, bunny hugs and a priceless photo with the Bunny to remember the moment. Add a sprinkled donut or two and I would say that is a successful morning activity!

Visitation's CCW hosted Breakfast with the Bunny last weekend and it is always a big hit for families with little ones. It is so nice to see the community get together and celebrate the Easter season. Fr John started us off with prayer and Decon Mike closed the event with a blessing, making it extra special!

This was an extra sweet, not because of the delicious cookies these kids were decorating but because I had met the Layton's two oldest girls when they were in pre school as their school photographer. Fun to reconnect. Such a great family and their story is rooted right here in Elmhurst (high school sweet hearts) making it extra special. Enjoy the read and all of the cuteness!

Simply Amazing! What these kids and producers (and parents) pull off in a matter of a couple of months is truly a wonder. ICGS is giving their last performance of Matilda Jr today at 2:30pm. DON'T MISS IT! Head to the IC Gym and support these kids and all of their hard.

Visitation's Blue & Gold Gala was held on February 3rd and was a HUGE success. The amazing gala chairs: Staci Butscher, Heather Burnes, Elise Hallez and Joe Cicinelli - you were truly an A Team and hit a home run on this one. .

For several years Michael and I have been given the mission to create a video that plays for the guest the night of the gala, show-casing this awesome school and parish. It is a lot of collaboration, blood, sweat and usually a few tears putting it together. Usually Michael and I having some artistic throw downs. This year I have to give most of the credit to my talented hubby. He had a vision and he too, knocked it out of the park. LOVE! - this celebration of VIS kids and the VIS community. So incredibly special!

These little munchkins were all at a recent event I photographed at York Theater. Seriously! Could they be any cuter? After a quick photo with me, they were off to meet Santa to tell him what they wanted for Christmas. I was feeling lucky they sat for a picture...hard to be the one keeping them from the "big guy!"
