Wasn't sure Santa would be able to squeeze me in this year, but Sunday he will be visiting my studio near downtown Elmhurst. I am beyond excited!!!! I have the studio looking magical and a big fancy chair just waiting for Santa to sit in and share a special moment with your little ones. Had fun capturing this "Blue Eyed Beauty" in the studio. He looks like a little doll and made the perfect model. Just shy of his first birthday, learning to walk and keeping his brothers and sister on their toes.

A great tribute to those who have given their all for this beautiful country took place this morning at Wilder Park. From the presentations, to the performers to the picture perfect Fall day, it was a great reminder, that whenever we meet or cross paths with those who have served, to say THANK YOU! Freedom shouldn't be taken for granted as it is fragile. So THANK YOU for fighting for us all and the freedom that allows us to thrive!

If you have driven by Fire House No. 2 (South York Rd) recently and you wondered what this new structure standing tall out in front was all about. This stately memorial, created by Elmhurst sculptor Jason Peot, consists of two structures of stacked open white cubes representing the two towers of the World Trade Center destroyed in the 2001 attacks, tied together by a vertical section of train rail salvaged from the underground terminal below the New York City site.

On Wednesday this week, 9/11, a crowd gathered to give tribute to the Firemen who gave the ultimate sacrifice and to unveil this beautiful memorial that will remind us daily as we pass by of that sacrifice. I highly suggest if you are out for a stroll you make your way to Firehouse No.2. The view at sunset and at night is simply beautiful!

It took a lot of planning a coordination on what to do with this piece of salvage, but the wait was well worth it! The fact an Elmhurst local created it, makes it even more special.

I Do! I Do! I Do!

This couple signed up to help a couple dozen photographers hone in on their "Wedding and Engagement Portraits". It was fun to capture their playful personalities. Jen Stitt (Fox and Brazen Photography) out of Philly, sharing her wisdom and guiding us to perfect the shot.

I always walk out of these classes with a gym or two, but this was one of the best classes I have taken! I think the practical on-hand experience is so impactful, especially for photographers.

Three generations of "girl power" for this family. Traveling from both sides of this beautiful continent to celebrate mom & dad's 50th Anniversary. What a wonderful legacy they have built. Truly blessed!

Dedicated Iowa Hawkeye fans all dressed up and headed out of town to watch the game. I was so impressed with the Iowa gear (just look at mom's kicks). But what absolutely melted my heart was their youngest one's attachment to their girl Miss Maci, the families 14 yo lab. He gave Maci a hug so sweet - that was "his girl!"

2024 Elmhurst's Rock The Block was a BIG success! Thousands of people filled the downtown streets to listen to the line up of bands, share a drink with friends and enjoy something tasty to eat from some of Elmhurst favorite establishments.

Truly all ages were represented...there were even a few characters like Little Bo Peep and Beetlejuice. Sixteen Candles closed the two day event with a bang! Everyone on their feet and singing along. They never disappoint!

Similar, of course, they are twins after all- but they are so uniquely different. It's exciting to hear their plans for college and career. Next year their world's will be off to different colleges to pursue architecture and nursing. Enjoy every minute of senior year ladies! Be engaged and soak it all in...because you will look back one day and recall just what an awesome time these next few years were in your life and wishing you could go back if even for just a day.

And we're off to another school year....reuniting with classmates, saying goodbye to our furry friends who don't understand why they can't come with you, meeting your new teachers and getting set up in your new class room. It can be a lot to process, but so exciting! Hoping you kiddos have your best year yet!!!

It was so much fun and a pleasure to capture ICCP's pre prom photos. The ladies looked spectacular in their gowns and gents were stylin' - for their big night. Making it extra special was getting to see several of the kids I have known since they were little. Some had changed so much I could barely recognize them.

We put the images together in a fun photo montage to music. It is a great keepsake for these kids and a send off as they start the next chapter in their journey.

Best of luck to ICCP's Class of 2024. Go be EXCEPTIONAL!

A wind and therefore a sand storm zero'd in on Butterfield Park last night. It was something! Honestly surprised I was able to capture these images for Girls Rockies vs Cardinals. Sand is NOT a camera's friend.

These girls had the team spirit and wanted to "play on" despite the gusts of sand rolling across the field. "PLAY BALL!"
