As promised here is the Festival Food post! All are staples of the Festival all coming to it after the Strawberry Festival started in 1988. To start out your day, check out the Elmwood FireDepartment for strawberry pancakes and sausage. Then come on over to the Food Tent for some more strawberry treats. EHS Poms and Cheer have baked up some strawberry pies. EHS FFA and Student Council have made delicious strawberry pizzas. Elmwood St. Patrick's Alter and Rosary are bringing some strawberry shortcake to you. Then you have the Elmwood Summer Youth League dishing up some strawberry sundaes. Last but certainly not least the ladies of Elmwood United Methodist Church will have their famous strawberry jam. When you're hungry for some lunch, be sure to come back to the Food Tent for marinated pork chops (from Elmwood Locker and grilled by Kiwanis Club), jumbo hot dogs, and drinks. All the above make all this deliciousness as fundraisers for their groups. Think new uniforms, equipment, services they provide, and even scholarships! You can also visit one of our amazing food vendors or restaurants around the square if haven't quite found what you're looking for. Come hungry and you'll fill that belly all day with so many goodies 🍓

Good afternoon everyone! Tara here with some exciting news: Theresa, our vendor coordinator, and I worked together on a vendor map and directory! All the spots are on there with a few names didn't get onto the map but are reflected in the directory. We hope this helps everyone find what they're looking for directly but also encourage you to visit each vendor. They are all super awesome and would love to chat with past and future customers 🍓
**A food tent specific post will go out later today so you know which non-profit is providing each specific strawberry treat and what the food tent will offer**

Car Show shirts will be available June 1st 🍓🚘

The Official Shirts of The 36th Annual Elmwood Strawberry Festival Car Show will be available for purchase June 1st at 8am - 5pm at the Car Show Registration Tent between City Hall and The Elmwood Place on N. Lilac St. 👇

Gold Sponsors and the first 25 to Pre-Register have been guaranteed a Car Show shirt of their desired size while supplies lasts. They will be set aside and ready for pickup throughout operating hours! 🍓🦖

As always, all proceeds go to scholarships
for our hard working student volunteers! 🙌

You’ll be able to experience different exercises brought to you by Greater Peoria Family YMCA. Yoga in the Park will be near The Pioneers statue from 8:30am-9:30am. Come for Family Zumba in the same place from 12pm-12:30pm. Lastly check out Rec n Roll at their mobile unit near Evergreen and Rose from 10am-2pm.

Good morning everyone! Can you believe we are less than 2 weeks away from our 36th Annual Strawberry Festival?! We cannot wait to see you all!! Good morning strawberry fans! Tara here! I had the pleasure and honor to present scholarships to our graduating Seniors who had volunteered a minimum of 10 hours with us. These kids are going onto bigger better things but we’re glad to have been part of their journey to get here. They are all hardworking, have learned the joy of volunteering, and also what all goes into planning and implementing an event such as the Strawberry Festival. Thank you all for your years of volunteering with us! We wish you the best of luck on your bright futures 🍓🧡🖤

We are able to continue our scholarship program because of everyone who comes to our Festival and also donate goods, services, and funds. And these scholarships are not just for those who are going onto college. Our scholarships have gone to those who are going into the workforce, military, technical schools, apprenticeships, and whatever the students have decided comes next.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! Thank you for showing up, kissing our boo boos, all the hugs, lessons learned, and most of all the love you give!

Our committee is full of moms who not only love their children but their community too. We want to make our little town the best it can be and the Festival is definitely a labor of love. We can’t wait to see everyone June 1st 🍓
