Today was bittersweet for Team Ose at Gibson Ranch. After 8 years and 8 months, we are finished at midnight tonight.

Having started with a closed park with zero public use, we are most pleased that Gibson Ranch has been open every day and that annual use now exceeds 100,000 guests.

We enjoyed working with the County management team to deliver what we said we would do: provide an affordable, safe and properly maintained facility for families to use.

We hope the new management team succeeds beyond their wildest dreams.

Thank you for the privilege of operating Gibson Ranch.

Life goes on. New opportunities arise. I hope you’re having as much fun as I am.

Tomorrow is our last day at the park, and we want to show you our gratitude. Please come and enjoy the park on us tomorrow, no vehicle entry fees or fishing permits required. Thank you for your support and patronage over the last eight years, we have gotten to know so many wonderful people. We will miss you all!

The County has declined our management services proposal and selected a different operator for Gibson Ranch beginning December 1, 2019. I am respectful of the County's right to decide what is best for their property and wish them well.

Thank you to all of the old friends who helped out and the new friends we have made over the past eight years. It's been a wonderfully challenging and rewarding experience.

Our last day is November 30, 2019. Come by and see us one more time before we all go on to new adventures.

Ive had something come up today that I need to take care of so i will be opening the Produce stand tomorrow instead of this afternoon!

Wednesday and Thursday 3-6:30 will be the last days we are open this season!! So come out tomorrow or Thursday to grab your last taste of fresh tomatoes from my farm or load up a bag for canning!!

Thank a fireman for what they do!

Many of you are aware of the fire that approached Gibson Ranch today. Because of a huge effort by Metro Fire the flames were halted and the fire has been extinguished. We are not aware of any structure losses nor lost livestock. NEXT TIME YOU SEE A FIREMAN TAKE A MOMENT AND THANK THEM FOR WHAT THEY DO!

For those of you who use the park areas of Gibson Ranch, the fire DID NOT enter the grounds; Metro Fire was able to hold the line at our north boundary. All activities will have no problems occurring this weekend as scheduled. The park WILL BE OPEN at sunrise on Saturday.

For our boarders, Stephanie and Emily and the entire staff did exactly what we planned. We judged the path of the fire and relocated all the horses out of the path and into the barn area. Just in case the fire shifted path, we issued a call to our friends who had horse trailers and people rolled in to help. Fortunately, these additional measures did not have to be implemented due to the great work of Metro Fire.
