Being a mom is such a blessing. This is the first photo I have with all 3 of my children featured. My twins Adrian and Alex gave me my first experiences as a mother. I cared for them clear up to the days they were miscarried. My precious Ruby calls “Mmmm” and reaches for me. Being her mommy is one of the greatest blessings of my life. I’m so blessed and grateful for all my children and love them dearly. Happy Mother’s Day to all moms out there, no matter what form motherhood looks like in your life.

Announcement: We have a new addition to the Cherry Creek Family. Justin and I were happy to welcome baby Ruby at the end of October. What a perfect way to end our season this year. We couldn’t be happier parents and are looking forward to this journey of parenthood.

I’m still on maternity leave until December 1st then I’ll get back to work-mode, but right now I’m enjoying these first few weeks of being a new momma. “Mommy” has quickly become my favorite job title.

Thank you for all the love and support shown to our family as we’ve navigated a challenging high risk pregnancy. We’re very happy about our family’s little treasure.

Thanks Jolene Head with Sayer Studios for capturing my newborn so these memories will last. ♥️

When Justin asked me to marry him, the excitement I had dreaming of what our life together would be like is nothing compared to the complete joy of what it’s been. I didn’t know so much love was possible and as we continue growing in our marriage, I am daily reminded how lucky I am to have found the man who I call my husband. There is no greater joy than love. Happy Valentine’s Day to my beloved husband Justin, my Forever Love! 💙

I’m so honored that my story was picked up by A Princess Inspired. It’s been a long year of recovery, yet a year of so much joy. In the words of Gandalf,”…All we have to do is decide what to do with the time that is given us.” For me, nearly dying changed my life, and everyday is a gift where I choose to celebrate the love I have with my husband and the reality that I’m still here to have that life with him. I’m so blessed and excited to be back to wedding planning for the 2023-2024 season. 💙 Click the link below to read my story and see photos from our Lord of The Rings themed wedding. 04/04/2022

As a new wife working with husband to organize our schedules together and structure our new home life, I’ve truly come to appreciate the words on my morning mug: “Love builds a happy home.” I’ve always been a night owl and would much rather stay up until midnight than wake at 4 am, but I have a husband who works 11 hour shifts at work plus an hour commute each way. When I realized that staying up late so I could sleep in until 6:30 meant missing him in the morning and only getting 2.5 hours with him when he’s home in the evenings, my love for him inspired me to change my habits. Now I wake at 4:30 every morning so we can have breakfast together and pack our lunches before he leaves for the day. That extra hour with him in the morning to start our day with prayer together and to tell him I love him everyday before he leaves for work is so valued. One of the best things I’ve done for my marriage is making time to be with my husband. Together, our loving efforts to support one another and spend whatever time we can together is helping us build the foundation for a happy marriage. Just some happy morning thoughts. 💛🌞

So grateful to have Amy as my planner for my wedding. Without going into details my wedding dress was destroyed at alterations and 2 weeks before the wedding I was gown hunting again. All the drama of losing your dream dress and finding a new one has been crazy stressful ( I’m so happy with my new gown) but insanely exhausted from the drama. Having the right planner at your side to help you through tough things is so important. I couldn’t have the wedding of my dreams without her. So grateful. Love you Amy! 💓

Ladies, major confidence booster tip is doing a photo session with Celebrate Your Sexy.

Since the accident 8 weeks ago, I’d cry often because I wanted to be a beautiful bride for my new husband. Having my new surgery scars makes me feel ugly; this broken body just isn’t what I’d envisioned.

I attended a private photo session yesterday where my photographer Amy made me feel like a Queen! She highlighted my scars in photos and let me peak at how they looked on her end. After one particular shot she told me I looked like a goddess, and seeing the picture, myself covered in scars; I have never felt so beautiful!

That time it was happy tears because even my broken and damaged body can be beautiful.

Thank you Celebrate Your Sexy for helping me see the beauty of these scars. You brought my confidence back the month before my wedding. This session was so needed! 💕

02/10/2022

As the world prepares to say I love you on a day of celebrations, I’ve been pondering how to do my Cherry Creek Valentine’s Day post to encompass love. This year I decided instead of a generic card-like post to do something more personal and heartfelt leading up to all the celebrations this weekend and into next week.

6 weeks ago, I was a passenger in a car that was TBoned then hit head on when a driver failed to stop at a stop sign. I was coming home from my engagement dinner with stars in my eyes and love in my heart for my upcoming marriage in March. I’d never imagined the trauma ahead.

After being rushed to the hospital in critical condition for emergency surgery. They woke me up in ER to get verbal permission to perform the surgery. I was told I lost a lot of blood and the surgery was risky. There was over 50% chance I wouldn’t make it out of surgery alive but if we didn’t do the surgery, I wouldn’t make it through the night. When I gave permission to try to save my life, the doctors said I’d be given a few minutes with my fiancé to say our goodbyes in case I didn’t make it.

I don’t have the words to describe how emotionally raw saying goodbye to the person you love feels. To believe you’ll never see them again, to worry that your dreams and future together could be lost, and to wish with all your heart that hope wasn’t lost for that life you’d planned together.

I can clearly remember holding hands as we cried together for those few short moments. I remember telling him I loved him for what could have been the last time. I remember him telling me he loved me then carefully kissing my forhead before they took me away for surgery.

Justin was telling me last week what that night was like for him. He said he’d pray and cry, then repeat. He spent the whole night in a waiting room wondering when nurses entered the room If they were going to tell him news if I’d made it or if I’d died.

At 5:30 in the morning, they told him I survived and would be taken to a room in ICU where he could come sit with me. I was sedated, on a ventilator, had drain tubes, IVs, feeding tubes, etc. When they brought him to the room. He said he didn’t know what to do but sit beside me and hold my hand where my arms were strapped to the bed while I slept. He said he spent that morning again crying and praying I’d get strong enough to breathe without the ventilator so they could wake me up.

This picture was taken after I got to wake. I couldn’t talk, but I could sign. We video chatted my family and I said “I Love You”. I’d sign this to Justin all the time in the hospital.

You never know what life will bring to your door. You never know when you might loose someone.

My challenge to all of you is- Don’t miss a moment to say “I love you” to those in your heart. Valentine’s Day or no, don’t let a day pass when you’re not sharing your heart.

If you can’t say it, sign it. 🤟🏻

Being in a car accident 3 months before your wedding changes your perspective of things.
#1) Small details of the wedding which mattered to me prior didn't seem as important. All I want is to walk down the aisle without a walker and be married to the man I love.
#2) Having a great support system with your bridal party is huge! I was sedated in ICU for a while and when I woke up was told my fiancé and honor party had divided up tasks while I was sleeping. My gown fitting was cancelled, photo session cancelled, my vendors contacted so they knew why I wasn't responding, arrangements made at work for me, and they divided up to do list tasks so the wedding planning wouldn't stop while I recovered. Having the right people at your side so you trust their judgements is so important! I could focus on healing without stress about the wedding. One of my bridesmaids even took a week off work and flew up for the week to spend it taking care of me and helping me with wedding details. Nothing compares to the love and support a good team can be.
#3) Open communication as a couple. This unexpected trial has been hard! As a bride, we naturally want our special day to be perfect. For me it has been devastating that I can't walk without my walker or an es**rt, am on a special diet as I heal from internal injuries, and then the scars from all the drain tubes and surgery incisions. I cannot tell you how many tears have been spilt over the damage done to my body only a few short weeks before my wedding. But having a fiancé who holds me when I cry, who listens as I share my worries, frustrations, and pain about our situation is a blessing! Justin someone who suggests simple changes like that when we cut the cake he will have a scoop of whip cream for me since I can't eat our cake yet or changing our wedding song so we can still have a first dance, these little acts of love have helped me not feel like I'm losing my dream wedding because of this accident. Having someone who comforts my fears and tells me it will all be okay, has been reassuring. I couldn't face the pain of this trial without his love.

Those are just some raw thoughts I've had today.

Great News, in the next few months, we will be moving to a new location in Meridian near Kohls and Dicks Sporting Goods. We are very excited for this move and what this means for all of our wonderful customers. Better location, great prices, and the best customer service in the formal wear industry.
Stay tuned. Next week ( 1/24 ), we are starting a moving sale where most items will be up to 60% off.

I know it’s been quiet on this page for a while- I was in an unfortunate car accident when a driver failed to stop at a stop sign and T-boned the car I was riding in tossing us into oncoming traffic where we experienced an immediate head on collision following the T-Bone. I was rushed by ambulance to trauma care for emergency surgery for my injuries and have been in ICU and trauma care recovering from severe internal injuries.

Please be patient as I’m still recovering. I’m not checking my Facebook messages as often and am definitely not checking emails right now. To enquire about your event, please use the “Contact Us” button which connects you to our Honeybook system. My team is able to take care of you from there.

As of right now I’m only taking contacts for late June 2022 and beyond so we can make sure to have planning time (I’ll begin working with clients again after Valentine’s Day).

If you’re wedding is fast approaching or you’d like a recommendation to another planner who can start working with you now, contact Amy with Finishing Touches Weddings & Events (located in Kuna).

I appreciate your understanding.

Thank you,
