Our History

Established in 1980. Progressive Dance Studio (PDS) located in Englewood, NJ is one of Bergen County's most respected and experienced dance studios. Progressive Dance Studio's faculty is comprised of professionally educated dance instructors who are highly qualified and have experience dancing on and off-Broadway. Some of our instructors also teach at New York City's premier Dance Sch

ools, such as Broadway Dance Center, Peridance Center, and Studio Maestro. PDS's infusion of outstanding dance teachers from New York and New Jersey provides an atmosphere of learning, inspiration, and excitement for our students. As we celebrate our 41st year, we invite anyone who wants to learn to dance to come and experience what PDS has to offer! We focus on providing a solid foundation in dance education and do not rely on fads or gimmicks but solid lesson plans designed to further the progression of our students. Our stellar reputation is based on a first-rate faculty and staff. We make it abundantly clear that we love what we do. Dear Families,
Join Us for Our 1st Annual Holiday Clothing Drive!

As the holiday season approaches, we are excited to announce our Holiday Donation Drive, running from November 6th to November 27th. This is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and support those in need.

You’ll see two festive donation boxes in the studio lobby for convenient drop off.

We will be accepting donations of gently used or new clothing, including: Coats, Scarves, Hats, Gloves, Sweaters, Jackets, Pants, Shirts, Shoes, and Socks.

All donations will be given to the "Shop of Hope Thrift Store" on Palisade Avenue in Englewood. Additionally, a portion of the donations will be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to support their mission of making a difference in kid’s lives facing serious illnesses.

Drop-off hours will be daily from 2 PM to 8:30 PM here at PDS, allowing plenty of time for you to contribute. Your generosity can make a significant difference in the lives of others during this festive season.

Our Pre-ballet classes cultivate not only a passion for dance but also encourage our students to embrace their creativity and playful spirit! Through engaging activities and imaginative exercises, young dancers are introduced to the fundamentals of ballet in a nurturing and supportive environment. The classes are designed to build confidence, coordination, and social skills, all while having fun. Our experienced instructors create a magical atmosphere where every child can express themselves freely and discover the joy of movement. Whether twirling like a fairy or leaping like a graceful deer, these budding dancers embark on a delightful journey that lays the foundation for their future in the world of dance.

Share the joy and love of dance with your friends and…… Get ready to dance! Whether you’re experienced or a beginner, everyone is welcome. It’s all about self-expression and fun! Bring a friend, put on your dancing shoes, and let’s hit the floor together. We’ll create memories, share laughs, and learn new moves. Let the rhythm take over and make some magic! If your friend is unable to attend the same class as you, refer them for a trial class!! If they sign up, you get the same deal!

The Achievements keep coming!

Congratulations to Isabelle for receiving the RADIX Core Community Studio Scholarship!

This scholarship was started as a tool for studio owners to help their dancers connect the convention experience with their studio experience. The Core Community Studio Scholarship allows one dancer from each studio to come back to one RADIX workshop during the 2025-2026 regional season, free of charge! We are so proud of the hard work and discipline Isabelle demonstrated this weekend, we want to give her the opportunity to learn more!
