On Saturday, we had the pleasure of hosting a beautiful wedding at Heather Hill Farm. Despite the freezing temperatures outside, the atmosphere inside was lively. A notable highlight was the custom four-tiered cake, featuring a cake top tier and subsequent tiers adorned with flowers and cookies. Heather Hill Farm took care of the flowers, and Farmhouse Kitchen catered the event, serving outstanding food, including the exceptional Pulled Pork.

Happening on the Farm. Our bees didn't make it through the winter so we added 2 new hives this year. We were able to extract the honey and it is delicious. We moved the hives to a south-facing location for optimal conditions and they seem to be loving their new home. We will add another brooder box and honey box next week and hopefully this summer will have lots of honey.

I used to be a prude when it came to silk flowers for a wedding. But after 40 years as a floral designer I've done a complete 180. They have come a long way and if designed right they can look so real. I did my niece's wedding a few weeks ago. The bridal party's flowers were all fresh but the rest of the decor was all artificial. Yesterday I did a bridal bouquet and a pocket square for one of our brides for her bridal photo shoot and honestly I think they look awesome. Let me know what you think?

We had a beautiful April Fools Day wedding yesterday. It's was fun to make her bouquet of all white spring flowers. I used white freesia, ranunculas, tulips, roses and one of my favorite flowers, heliborus. It's the first flower to bloom in spring.
The bride loved her bouquet and that's what make my job so fun. Thanks Mitch and Cheyenne for letting us be a part of your special day.

This was a beautiful wedding we did last year. We did the flowers and the food. It was a flawless day and such a beautiful couple. They did a pizza buffet for friends and family, and then we switched it over to a charcuterie table for the reception. They also did an awesome soda bar and a candy bar.

Another great and cost effective solution for food for your wedding is a pizza buffet. You order the pizzas of your choice from your favorite pizza place and we provide the food service and setup. We tray it up in our kitchen and slide it on to our beautiful wooden cutting boards. We also can add a tossed green salad, fruit and vegetable display and a beverage. We also have a fun sign that says "I love you with every Pizza my heart". Here are a few pictures from our most recent pizza buffets.

We had a busy weekend with 2 weddings and crazy weather. Plan A was to have their ceremony outside but with 50 to 70 mph wind gusts we had to go with plan B inside the barn. They were both beautiful.
Saturday's wedding was a couple from Texas and we planned the whole thing via text and email.
We did the flowers and the food and they loved everything. So happy for these two and so glad they chose Heather Hill Farm and Gardens to have their wedding.
