Another crazy couple weeks, ‘s Prom, and our first commencement ceremony this year, . fans, with a few adapters and top secret raspberry pi boxes, one can mount a good ole B4 ENG style lens on a 4k Studio Camera Pro, AND have lens control of the iris directly from ATEM, making a $2k camera look and feel like a $10k+ broadcast camera.

It’s that time of year! This week opened Cinderella, and the first weekend of . Jazz fest… man, what an institution. This year is John Ernesto’s last as executive director. It was either ‘95 or ‘96 when i was given my first venue to run lighting. We skipped high school, came home from college, to work the festival back then. With the exception of a few years in there, I’ve been involved in some capacity since. I remember vividly, watching The Rippingtons and The Flecktones backstage as a…9th or 10th grader. Mesmerized seeing the music technology up close, stuff I only heard on recordings. (No youtube in those days.) I do hope it continues.

Last weekend, amidst 3 HS musicals, our team pulled off an amazing gala for the , partnering with our friends Brett and Nicole ! Once again, we helped turn the ballroom and lobby into the best event space in town! Thanks , , , , , and Jason for all your long hours!

Admittedly, I was skeptical headed into a youth production of Phantom. Turned out to be a highlight of my year! Got to shoot the final performance, with real cameras; something I hope to do more often in the future.
