Yesterday our fallen heroes were honored. I went to the 1st annual Louisiana TRUCK SHOW intending to compete in a jambalaya cookoff and enjoy looking at the trucks, all almost 200 hundred of them. We got there and immediately met some awesome gentlemen in the booth next to us. The friendliness of all the cooks there was awesome. That is when we declined the envelope for competing . Our jambalaya was cooked first. I started to bring bowls to the people working in the booths and passing it out. I delivered 125 bowls. The feedback on taste was overwhelming . It was nice to tell them we just wanted to serve not compete. We served a total of 296 bowls of jambalaya what an awesome day. Angel Allen Jr Bares, you would have had a blast here. I can’t wait until next year’s truck show!!!

Proud to be a part of the Gumbo for Meaux fundraiser yesterday! It was awesome seeing people I had not seen in a long time and meeting new people and making new friends! I had a blast and I never want to see rice again🤣🤣🤣🤣. These are only 3 of the deep pans. We did 9 pans!!!
