Just thought I would share these amazing words about what one of my brides said to a future bride who is looking to hire me.

Hi Keith,

Hope you are staying warm and safe.

I was asked to provide a reference for you based on our wedding a few years ago. Just wanted to pass along my responses to her questions.

"Hi,

Of course I am more than happy to help. We had a fantastic experience with Keith.

What did you like?
He asked us to fill out a form that went over basic information such as the bridal party, how to pronounce everyone’s names, what time he can begin set-up, if there was a special way we would like to be introduced (Mr. & Mrs. Brown, Mr. & Mrs. Riley Brown) etc.
He asked if we wanted a big introduction when entering the reception. We had a small wedding and our preference was to be there in advance of the guests so we could greet them as they arrived. He was very kind and respectful of our wishes and played quieter music during this time.
He also asked for a list of our approved songs. This helped to give him guidelines for what we had in mind in regards to the tone as well as a general queue.

What didn't you like?
I honestly don’t have any negative comments. It was an overwhelmingly positive experience. Even our guests commented on what a great job he was doing.
Was he able to keep the event moving along
Yes! We were pulled in so many different directions and he kept us on track. Without being disruptive he coordinated with our bridal party to get our attention and move it along. He did ask for a copy of our timeline and he was very punctual for each event and announcement.

Did he switch from slow songs to dance songs with success?

It was smooth. He smoothly transitioned from “Friends in Low Places,” a family tradition to sing along back to more modern dance music.
He also did very well at incorporating guest requests in.

Was equipment good for the venue?
It was great. For reference our reception was at Capers Catering. It was a big open room with the dance floor in the middle. We had no issues with his equipment and even borrowed his microphone for our speeches.
As far as the noise level, that is one thing that is always frustrating, when the music's so loud and you have to yell just to talk to someone. He was very cognizant of that. He would periodically ask the bridal party about the noise level when they walked by to make sure it was still appropriate. He also specifically requested if at any point it needed adjusted, we please let him know.
I think that covers all of it. We really had a great experience with Keith and I would definitely recommend him. If you have any other questions, please let me know."
