Phyllis retired from Sears, where she worked in the Florence Mall location for over 30 years. She was a graduate of Holmes High School. Phyllis was an active member of Erlanger Methodist Church, Hopeful Lutheran Church, a local Red Hats chapter, and the Kenton County Homemakers. Our mother loved traveling, camping, crafting, and celebrating holidays with her family. But most of all, she loved her family.

Mark was a salesman for Arlinghaus Builders for over 30 years.
His sense of humor was one of his defining traits, always ready with a witty remark or joke to bring a smile to those around him. The Christmas Eve parties that he hosted were the highlight of his year and found him playing drums and putting everyone in the holiday spirit! Mark enjoyed sports, playing baseball and basketball growing up. He loved attending the Newport Italianfest with family, which reflected his strong connection to his Italian heritage. Amy was a very personable and charismatic person. She had a huge heart, loved deeply, and found joy in giving and helping others. Amy lit up a room with her bubbly personality and beautiful smile. Her sense of humor entertained the young and old. Amy absolutely loved all types of animals, from fish to horses. Her hobbies included bargain shopping, arts and crafts, horseback riding, beauty products, and taking care of her plants. Phyllis was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend who cherished the simple joys in life like singing and dancing. She was known for her jokes, sense of humor and love of snacks; especially taco-flavored Doritos, and could be found enjoying them while watching her favorite TV shows, horror movies, or Korean films.

A woman with a deep appreciation for the little things, Phyllis adored the color purple and always looked forward to her favorite meal of chicken and dumplings. Outside of work and coaching, Ken enjoyed a rich life filled with family and hobbies. He loved golf, horse racing, and never missed a chance to attend his grandchildren’s sporting events. Family was always his top priority, and he cherished every moment spent with them. One of his favorite traditions was traveling to Siesta Key every year, creating lifelong memories with those he loved. Ken was an avid sports fan. He was a loyal follower of the Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, the University of Kentucky Wildcats, and Covington Catholic High School. His passion for these teams was matched only by his love for his family. He will be truly missed!

With a flair for writing, Kevin wrote for the Dixie News and served as a freelance writer for other newspapers in the area. His regular column, Bundy’s Bets, was always filled with personal insights and served as a source of many debates. He began his coaching career with the Bailey’s Shell club baseball team in the early 1990’s. However, Kevin had a lifelong passion for basketball and mentoring youth through his coaching. Since 1993, more than 800 teams and over seven thousand future high school players have polished their skills and enhanced their love of the game. “Coach” dedicated his life to shaping young athletes both on and off the court. Thomas William Maile, 77, of Erlanger, KY passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 22, 2025 at Christ Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on July 1, 1947, in Covington, Kentucky, Thomas was the beloved son of the late Edward and Mary Louise Maile (nee Cappel). He was a proud U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War, and always spoke with honor about his time in service to his country.

Thomas was a devoted member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and a longtime member of Mary Queen of Heaven Church, where he faithfully attended for over 40 years. He was a proud alumnus of Covington Catholic High School and was known for his unwavering loyalty to his alma mater, as well as his passionate support of the University of Kentucky Wildcats.

He was also a dedicated member of Teamsters Local 100, where he worked tirelessly to support his family. A shepherd at heart, Thomas had an innate ability to care for and protect those around him, earning the love and respect of all who knew him.

Tom was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Bert Phillips.

A loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Thomas leaves behind his beloved wife of 53 years, Elizabeth Maile (nee Moreno); his daughter, Maria (Jeffrey Portwood) Maile, his brothers, Dick (Pam Blackburn) Maile, Tony (Terri) Maile; and his sisters, Barbara (Mike) Goebel), Mary Sue Phillips.

He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Isaac and Grace, and numerous other family members and friends.

Thomas’s love for his family was unconditional, and his impact on the lives of those he touched was immeasurable. His legacy of faith, kindness, and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing him.

He is now safe in the hands of Jesus, and though his presence will be greatly missed, his spirit will forever remain with us.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 11:00AM at Mary Queen of Heaven Church in Erlanger, KY. A reception will follow the mass at the Drees Pavilion in Devou Park Covington, KY.

He will be entombed at Mother of God Cemetery in Latonia, KY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church 1150 Donaldson Hwy. Erlanger, KY 41018 or Covington Catholic High School 1600 Dixie Hwy. Park Hills, KY 41011.
