Donna Jean Cooper, 74, of Ft. Mitchell, KY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2024.

Donna was born on October 11, 1950, in Covington, KY and spent her life dedicated to both her work and her family. She had a long and fulfilling career, working for over 30 years as a systems administrator with the Airport Police Department. After her retirement, Donna's love for her family continued to shine brightly. Even in retirement, she continued working to ensure she could spoil and support her loved ones.

A creative spirit, Donna was a gifted seamstress who could craft anything with her hands, from intricate clothing to household items. Her creativity extended beyond her craft to a deep appreciation for American history, especially the Civil War. She enjoyed traveling to historic sites, with a particular fondness for Gettysburg and other Civil War reenactment locations. Her love of history and travel was matched by her enjoyment of life’s simpler pleasures, especially the family tradition of attending dinner and a show at the Aronoff Center for the Arts in Cincinnati.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Ray Arthur and Eula Jean Sims; brothers, Donnie Sims and Roy Sims; and son, Christopher Ellis.

She is survived by her son, Andy (Shannon) Ellis; grandchildren: Makenna (Brett) Stegner, Zane (Lacy) Shoemaker and Drew Ellis; great-granddaughter, Eleanor Stegner; and sister, Susan (Don) Schooler.

A celebration of Donna’s life will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 30 Commonwealth Ave., Erlanger, KY 41018. Donna will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park during a private burial service.

Robert “Bob” E. King, 81, of Burlington, KY, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Dorothy King (nee Hunter).

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Sandra J. King (nee Mautz); his sons, Todd (Cheryl) King, and Jeff (Sandy) King; his siblings, Dean (Saundra) King and Phyllis (Gene) Taylor; and his brother-in-law, Bill (Kathie) Mautz.

Bob was also the proud grandpa to Jessica (John) Gottschalk and great-grandfather to Kenlee and Kolton Gottschalk.

He was a former member of the Boone County Jaycees and an Honorary Kentucky Colonel.

Bob started his career in training at Cincinnati Milacron before he left to start his successful machine tool, rebuild and retrofit company, King Tool Company in 1978.

The Hobby Shop was a favorite gathering place for family and friends. Bob spent countless hours working on various mechanical projects and his love of cars over the years. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 2:00PM-5:00PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Burlington, KY. A short remembrance service will follow at 5:00PM at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Known for her fiery spirit and quick wit, Diane was truly a dynamo in every sense. “Dynamite comes in small packages” was a fitting description of her, as she was small in stature but immense in personality. Ariana was very active in sports. She especially loved softball and was inducted into the NKU Sports Hall of Fame. Growing up, she was always active in thoroughbred racing with her dad, JC Hauer at Far Stable. Ariana also loved working outside, tending to her garden and flowers. She will be missed.

Kathleen was well-known for a mischievous sense of humor and delighted in laughing with family and friends. She and Pat continued traveling the world together, including trips all over the US and extensive time in Florida. She loved reading, movies, and in her later years always had her iPad by her side as she stayed in close contact with family and friends.

Last week, Funeral Directors Robert Lytle-Dominguez (1994 CCMS Graduate) and Lexi Engle (2021 CCMS Graduate), along with Dottie Boone, Director of Advanced Funeral Planning, had the opportunity to attend the job fair at the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. They engaged with talented mortuary students, many of whom are aspiring to serve in the funeral service industry.

He was a member of the Matthew Kelly Foundation, Thomas More College Foundation Board, Diocesan Catholic Children’s Home Foundation Board, Lighthouse Catholic Media Ministry, Men’s Cursillo, and he was a member of the National Association of Fraternal Insurance Counselors. Additionally, he was a long-time member of St. Patrick Church in Taylor Mill, KY, and of Ryland Lakes Country Club, where he raised his family. Dave will be remembered as a devout Catholic, a self-less follower of Jesus, the ultimate patriarch of his family, and a dear friend to many.

Throughout his life, Charles was devoted to family, and this was the source of both his purpose and his joy. He was an avid reader with a natural curiosity and encouraged his children to read and to learn about music and art. Perhaps Charles’s greatest joy has come from being a grandfather and the times he has enjoyed with his grandchildren – going to their ball games or recitals, going to Reds games or some new restaurant, and travels to South Carolina and Florida. He will be missed!
