My sister and I were planning a Celebration of Life for our mother in San Diego but we were doing so - long distance. We thought we would be able to pull it all together ourselves while still grieving, working and parenting etc. When it became apparent that we were struggling - we found Melissa of Eternally Loved. She never pressured us, but she provided exactly the kind of guidance, and relief from research + decision fatigue that we needed. The event was beautiful, meaningful, and fit our family wishes to honor the life and legacy of our Mother.

Trying to plan a Celebration of Life for your spouse is an overwhelming task while you’re grieving - and living on the other side of the country. I’m beyond grateful for the support and expertise Eternally Loved provided during such a difficult time. The owner, Melissa, went above and beyond to ensure the event was personalized and meaningful, and I felt confident knowing she was handling everything. Melissa was responsive (no matter the time difference), very creative, detail-oriented and easy to work with. I wasn’t too familiar with the SoCal location where the event was being held so I trusted Melissa to provide great venue options, which she did! Every aspect of the event was organized flawlessly. From coordinating the venue, catering, and decorations to ensuring that the timing of speeches and moments of remembrance went smoothly, no detail was overlooked. She even helped with elements like personalized music, creating a beautiful atmosphere that truly honored my husband. Melissa was fantastic to work with. She was professional, transparent and has a wealth of experience to draw upon in helping us prepare our father's celebration of life. She gave us lots of choices. The memory tables, floral arrangements, photos, etc. created a stunning visual -- I was amazed when I entered the room. She prepared an amazing slide presentation with music that we shall always cherish. This was a very memorable send off, and we could not have done this without her.

Melissa was great to work with and did a fantastic job at organizing and executing my late husband's celebration of life. She was very thorough in getting to know my and my husband's wishes, likes, and expectations.
Once all the particulars of the event were chosen (venue, food, flowers, ect.), she took everything from there; coordinating with all the different aspects, setting things up at the venue, and taking everything down after the celebration. It was such a huge load off my mind to be able to just focus on being present for the celebration and mingling with the attendees.
Since she'd done such a great job with a friend's celebration (see Mike Y.'s review), I had complete faith in her and her capabilities and didn't feel the need to check in at all with her in the days before the event.
Since I hadn't expected the event to be terribly elaborate, I'd wondered if hiring a coordinator would be extraneous; however, I feel it was money well spent. With her expertise in this relatively niche type of thing, she was able to guide me in making decisions and offered advice on what might or might not work. She also put me in touch with a wonderful non-denominational master of ceremony who also did a fantastic job at helping my vision for my husband's celebration become a reality.

Melissa did a fantastic job putting together a very nice celebration of life on very short notice. She gave valuable advice, ideas to help keeps costs in line with out budget and always responded very quickly with any questions or changes we had. When we showed up to the event, I was overwhelmed with emotion and was so impressed how well everything turned out. She did an amazing job and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.

She is highly professional and provided excellent guidance and clear communication throughout the planning. The event itself was smooth and seamless thanks to her. The coordination with the venue sales staff, the technical aspects of the program, and the food and beverage quality and service were all excellent thanks to Melissa. When my mother passed, I was tasked with planning her celebration. From 1,000 miles away... I wound up making one of the best decisions I've ever made. I hired Melissa. To say that she knows what she's doing is an understatement! She is a master at her craft. My moms celebration was a class act. Stylish, witty, well presented. All things my mom was, and would have appreciated. Melissa oversaw the whole affair, and made my life easier during this difficult time.
