Happy birthday to our best friend, Scooby Dooo 🐕!! He’s two today!!

His favorite things to do include playing with friends at the dog park, riding in the car wherever I go, and visiting the Portland flower market where he’s spoiled with treats from his friends at , , and . He’s hilariously goofy, super friendly, and obsessed with snuggles and pup cups. We love you so much, Scooby!

Aisles lined in lush ground florals make such a beautiful impact at the wedding ceremony, it’s no wonder couples add them to almost all their Pinterest wedding vision boards. Let’s chat if it makes sense for your day.

Consider your overall wedding floral budget and divide that number by 3 which will give you a partial budget to apply just to your ceremony.

Full aisle arrangements start around $175 each, so an aisle with 4 on each side will be around $1400. Depending on the size of your altar installation, your ceremony flowers will cost around $2500.

A plus side to aisle ground florals is they are easy to relocate and add floral impact to your reception without any extra cost. Large aisle florals are great to repurpose to a corner or on the ground in front of a cake table, bar, seating chart, or sweetheart table.

Repurposing aisle florals to guest tables as centerpieces can also work, but consider their height and guest visibility. Scaling down in height will make it easier for your guests to see one another across the table. If you really want to keep the aisles lush and tall, consider having them placed on top of tall Harlow stands as elevated florals.

If a full lush aisle is not in your budget but you really want aisle flowers, that’s totally ok!! Adding a small bouquet tied with ribbon to each or every other aisle chair is also a lovely way to add florals to your aisle. You could also consider shepherd hooks (if the venue allows) and suspend smaller floral arrangements that will also work as small centerpieces.

Eeeee!! I’m excited about a few things going on in my business and would love to share my WINs (and I invite you to also share your recent WINs below so we can celebrate with you!

4. I’m flying to NY in March to attend an advanced floral retreat and participate in a styled shoot with some amazing florists at the Brooklyn Boathouse in Prospect Park. I ❤️ NY and can. not. wait.

How do you add impact to your wedding cake table or sweetheart table without adding additional cost? Repurpose your ceremony florals!

This cake was so delicious. The bride’s sweet dad not only baked it, but he brought extras for the wedding vendors to enjoy during wedding set up! Free cake is a definitely a perk to this dream job of mine 🤩

Thank you so much to our past wedding clients who took the time to leave us Google reviews recently after our Google business profile was deleted (and all our reviews lost for the third time in 18 months). I appreciate you all!

Fingers crossed it doesn’t happen again. It’s really frustrating to have 50 5-star reviews just vanish and be told there’s nothing that can be done. And then build up to 15 or so new ones and have it happen again. And again. I wish there was a way to both recover all the ones they deleted, and prevent it from reoccurring.

Eeeeeee! I’m super excited that I just put a deposit on a dream floral workshop in New York this spring!!

It’s been decades since I’ve taken any floral classes. My floral style and design skill has been developed and refined every season by tons of trial and error and a lot of determination. Over the last few years, I’ve seen a few advanced floral workshops offered to already experienced florists that have piqued my interest, but either the cost, the location, or the timing had me hesitate and then the spots would fill.

This morning, I saw the offer for the course with only a few spots left and I was all in. It feels amazing to be able to say “F YES” so clearly.

I was born in New York, and cannot wait to return to play with flowers with two of my favorite florists and .

Bridgerton themed wedding set up today at the Sentinel was gorgeous! I’m happy to report this wedding was 100% flower-foam free!
