A long time dream of mine is coming true this week ~ I’m taking my kids to Disneyland! It’s something I’ve been promising to do for years, but haven’t followed through. There’s something so magical and potent in reaching goals and fulfilling long time dreams and promises. 🪄

Repurposing ceremony florals to important reception focal spaces like sweetheart table or cake table is a great, budget friendly hack! Receive twice the impact of your wedding ceremony flowers for the cost of one installation.

Some things to consider when planning on repurposing ceremony flowers to reception:

Who will relocate the florals? Discuss your plan to repurpose the flowers with your day of coordinator. If you don’t have one or they have other tasks during the flip, your florist can add on a flip-service fee to come back after ceremony to relocate flowers.

Might weather affect the appearance of your ceremony flowers? If your wedding is in summer and extreme heat and full sun is a factor, your florist will want to consider hardier blooms that will still look good from pre-ceremony through reception.

Relocating aisle ground pieces to guest table centerpieces can work, but it limits the height of the arrangements. Those lush aisle arrangements on your Pinterest board are generally too tall for centerpieces. They also may need to be wiped before placing on tables.

📢 Out of office notice - today through Sunday!

I’m headed on an epic camping and rafting trip with my wedding bestie ! I’m thoroughly enjoying my last weekend without weddings or kids! My kids have been at camp Grammie and Grampa for a whole month and come back next week! I miss them like crazy and am so excited to see them~ and am also so grateful for the mommy break!

It’s my birthday week which is a time I always find myself reflecting on all the gifts and blessings I have been so humbly blessed to receive. (Skip to the end for a wedding package sale, if you don’t have a moment to read a long, sappy post!)

I’m so incredibly grateful that I grew a little side hustle selling bouquets to a full-time wedding business that sustains my children and my life! Once upon a time, my kids and I were basically homeless - newly divorced single mom with a no-cause eviction, debt + no provable income, and zero apartments or landlords would rent to us. I tucked my kids to sleep on friends’ couches and drove Uber all night for 3 months to prove income and secure us an apartment. Fast forward 6 years to today- a solo parent who owns a house, a flower studio, and a thriving business, with my literal dream job being creative and sharing beauty and my love for flowers full time!

Thank you to all my past, present and future clients for your trust in me. It’s been such an honor, blessing, and gift to be a part of your wedding team. I’m immensely grateful for every opportunity to beautify your love stories with God’s gift to us (flowers!) I’m also incredibly grateful for all the amazingly talented wedding vendors I get to work alongside with; and all the gorgeous NW wedding venues I get to visit! The views and the lush northwest beauty takes my breath away every time.

A welcome back moment for the dahlias!! Excited they are back just in time for my sweet bride this weekend that really really wanted dahlias when she booked a year ago. I could not guarantee dahlias would be available ~ as some years they aren’t available until closer to August. We discussed substituting garden roses and other high petal count flowers if need be, but I’ve been really crossing my fingers the dahlias would pull through for her!

Here’s a bunch of dahlias I’ve ordered this week from a local grower who’s so sweet and texts me pics!

Bridgerton themed wedding set up today at the Sentinel was gorgeous! I’m happy to report this wedding was 100% flower-foam free!
