People wake up! If you are an entrepreneur or small business, pay attention! I posted about this the other day. My husband and I were both born and raised in the US. We have worked aver 30 years to make a life for us in this crazy world. It has always been one of the joys of being a US citizen…the right to be free, to chose or not to chose, our future path. That right is being taken by our own Government. This is not Democracy!

In 2021, Congress passed a law that requires my business to report information about my business that is mostly already available, if they choose to look. What is the purpose of the Secretary of State's Annual Report, if I still have to report to the Government? Theoretically, this was done to try to expose drug dealings, money laundering, etc. Are you kidding me? My small 2 person operation is a threat to the United States? If that isn’t enough, we also have to report BOI (Beneficial Ownership Information).

This is unconstitutional! The BOI not only requires our social security numbers for any owners of 25% or more, but we have to provide pictures of our driver’s licenses, DOB and other extremely private info. What does this have to do with money laundering, drug dealings, etc.? How do I trust that my info won’t get leaked to some terrorist group, hackers, etc.? Our own Government agencies are being cyber attacked daily.

In my opinion, it is a vast overreach of governmental power and authority. However, they have made the penalties for NOT reporting so extreme, that failure to meet our own Government's demands will in all likelihood cause many small businesses to fail. Again, this is NOT Democracy.

As a small business owner, my only option is to dissolve my 30+ year company and operate as a sole proprietorship, but this would affect the asset protection advantages provided by shielding assets through entity ownership. I could go on and on, but what in the World is happening here?

I have one item left from my cookie business that I need to sell. It is an Inkedibles Cakepro-Quatro (Direct to Food Printer). Originally paid $2,200, asking $1,300. It is a great printer! Prints on cakes, biscuits, cookies, macarons, marshmallows, coffee foam, etc. (any edible products) and to any edible surface (marzipan, sugar paste, fondant, cream, powdered sugar, etc).
