A History of Class

The tradition in the Buchanan family is deeply rooted in the rich heritage of Southeast Kentucky. Kevin’s family began on the Minton Hickory Farm, a Championship horse farm in Knox County, Kentucky, and was known throughout Southeast Appalachia for producing some of the finest hay, cattle, and to***co. 🐄🌾

Kevin’s father, Lloyd Buchanan, retired from farming in the early 1990s, and Kevin went on to serve as the Family Resource and Youth Services Center Coordinator, working in the school system for 28 years. 📚

In the spring of 2010, Kevin and Gina Buchanan reestablished their farming legacy in Pulaski County, Kentucky, starting a purebred Angus cattle and hay operation that continues to thrive today.

We are incredibly grateful for our roots and all that we've built here at The Buchanan Estate. We wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving filled with love, gratitude, and good company. 🍂🦃

Congratulations to Adamleigh Farm, operated by Kevin Buchanan, for being recognized in the November issue of Cow Country News as a Top 10 Angus cattle farm in Kentucky!

Agriculture is a multi-million dollar industry in Pulaski County and is incredibly important to our local economy. According to agricultural census data from the United States Department of Agriculture, Pulaski County ranks third in Kentucky for cattle production, second for beef cattle production and third in hay production.
