👻I saw so many awesome Halloween decorations but the problem is most of them have glitter. It is not a good idea to have glitter near or by food.
So I had the idea to cut branches from my tree and spray paint them black.
👻 I got orange lights from @joann_stores and wrapped around the branches. It turned out great!
👻 I made three mini ghosts out of cheesecloth (cheesecloth from @joann_stores).
👻 I found cool candle holders with black skeleton hands from @walmart. I thought those would be perfect for serving olives and nuts!

Last year, I saw @thatcheeseplate about “Halloween candy and cheese pairing.” At first I was like this is crazy, but of course, I had to try. I was impressed how well they paired.
I thought I would ask my mom to show me how to make the Carmel Corn that I grew up eating. I have never made it before, because I just always asked my mom to make me some. 🥰 I decided it was time for me to learn how to make Carmel corn. Surprisingly, it is easy to make!
⚠️⚠️WARNING: Carmel corn is very addicting‼️‼️
What ingredients you need to make it . . .
🍿6 quarts popped popcorn, use an air popper
Put popped corn into a large greased roaster plan
🍿2 Cups brown sugar
🍿1 Cup butter
🍿1/2 Cup karo syrup
🍿1/2 teaspoon salt
🍿1/2 teaspoon baking soda
🍿1 teaspoon vanilla
Put 1st 4 ingredients into a sauce pan on medium heat, stir and bring to a boil, continue to boil for 5 minutes WITHOUT STIRRING.
Remove from heat and add soda and vanilla.
Mix well and then pour over popped popcorn, mix well until the corn is coated.
Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
When cooled store in ziplock bag or in an airtight bowl with lid to keep Carmel corn fresh and crisp.
🌟🌟TIPS🌟🌟
🍿 Recommended to use “mushroom” popcorn for this Carmel corn. Mushroom popcorn is commonly used for Carmel corn and Kettle corn. The mushroom popcorn is larger, round and doesn’t break easy.
🍿 Don’t use microwave popcorn or pop in oil. Use an air popper.
Roasted cherry tomatoes with Chèvre
🍅 Tomatoes are in season.
🍅 I went to my parents’s garden to pick their tomatoes because they have so many that need to be used. They have an amazing garden, you can see how beautiful the Zinnias are!
🍅 Pre-heat to 425 degrees
🍅 Pick the stems off the tomatoes, put in a bowl.
🍅 Add crushed cloves of garlic (I added 2 cloves), sprinkle with salt, sprinkle with dried basil and drizzle oil over the tomatoes, toss and put on a foil lined cookie sheet. (I know I used parchment paper, because that’s what I had but I prefer foil) Optional: you can add dried basil for more flavor.
🍅 Bake for 30 to 40 min until the tomatoes are cracked and slightly brown or very brown on the top (depends on how you like yours)
🍅 Let them cool before you put in refrigerator.
🍅 You can eat them when they are warm or cold, both are fantastic!
🍅 They are wonderful with chèvre on a grilled baguette (but with crackers is good too!)
🍅🍅🍅🍅
TIPS:
I prefer to use chèvre that is “spreadable” rather than a crumbly log, which is hard to spread, and messy.
I normally buy Fromage Blanc from @cypressgrovers if I can find it. If you can’t find it then you can go to @traderjoes to get Goat’s Milk Creamy Cheese.
