I can’t even find the words… and words are my whole livelihood!
To my friends, my family, thank you. You guys believed in me when I came up with this strange and out of pocket idea of going down this path- no clue where it would lead.
Thank you for everyone who has ever supported me or even said “hey I know a guy!” When they hear someone is getting married.

(they were 20-somethings but seemed young and cool, idk wtf we are referring to these people as these days? The boys had the Devon Sawa haircut and the girl was rocking a chain of some sort. You all know this sort of “lewk”.)

Sometimes you meet people and they make you feel like you were meant to meet all along.
After watching the Netflix series Dark (and having a subsequent nervous breakdown over how perfect the writing was) I have been thinking a lot about things like “Destiny” or “Fate”.
I believe love can come in a multitude of ways for everyone. But I’m not just talking about romantic-love. I’m talking about the kind of love that blooms from friendship. The type that at first you’re like “I vibe wit chu” and over time the more you get to know them you’re thinking “holy s**t, you go to jail? I’m bailing you tf out; regardless of time”.
That’s type of love and friendship I have with Taylor and Justin. What started off as an engaged couple looking for an officiant to tell their love story and “do the damn thang”. Quickly turned into 3 almost strangers who speed ran into becoming best friends. Even without meeting them in person until the day of their wedding, a super common occurrence for me by the way, it couldn’t have been more clear that we 3 were always meant to be. So much so that after my ChatGPT post, Justin made some of the 3 of us and sent it in our group message!

Just got married and now it’s time to make that paper-work!
The role of an officiant seems like such a LaSayFair (say it outloud) thing. You assume you can just get whoever to do the thing, what’s the big deal?
Well before you offload the officiant responsibilities to your cuzzo, random friend, or family member who gets a weird power trip from any authority roles and really wants to be your officiant. Let me ask you this-
Do you trust some random jabroni with very important legal documents about your marriage…?
Or
Would you rather trust THE professional jabroni with very important legal documents about your marriage!

“Don’t lose sight of who you are”
A dear friend of mine told me this the other day. We had gone out for dinner and I remember feeling a bit melancholic that specific evening. The world was looking quite bleak and life itself just didn’t “feel right”. So I went out to dinner with a man I admired much my entire life. We had a wonderful evening with other random diners at this lovely restaurant in downtown Eugene. We had been talking about life, sense of self, self worth, etc. I had confided in him that I wasn’t sure I knew who I was these days… and he gave me the most piercing gaze with those big Hollywood leading man eye brows, and he told me, “My guy, Jimmie, Don’t lose sight of who you are“.
He said it in such a way that I felt my soul catch aflame!
We kept talking, laughing, yelling at one another words of affirmation and love.
The staff was absolutely enamored with the deep philosophical questions we were asking each other. So much so that even the chef came out the back and spent the rest of the evening hanging with us. Getting lost in musings, incoherent thoughts, and an all around art of the conversation.
It was December 4th 2024…
Which is why when I see all this bewildering news about my good buddy Luigi Mangione, I was absolutely SHOOKETH. How could such an honorable man be accused of such a heinous act when he was on the west coast with me with multiple eye witnesses?
He is not the monster the media is propagating him as. He’s a good man who reminded me just last week, December 4th in Eugene, OR, to always know myself even in the darkest of times.
Stay strong, my dear old friend Luigi who is totally innocent. We will weather this storm together, big pimp! Don’t let the media gaslight you into thinking you’re guilty for a crime you weren’t even in the city being committed when you were out at dinner with me. I love you, man. 💚

Idk if you guys knew this, but I’m like REALLY good at taking selfies.
At the beginning of a ceremony that’s unplugged but I’m inviting the people to snap a pic real quick with the couple.
With my homies who are working a wedding.
Or that one time I was on a flight back from DC and my cousin .r0dri and I were sat next to the rapper (that man’s got fu***ng BARS, everyone go listen to him!)
The selfie is a powerful thing! Lets us capture us in that moment with all the love and joy we are feeling that we can reflect on at a later time. Don’t shy away from capturing a memory that you’ll look back on and think “this was a good time”.
