Fellow band leaders and contractors! I've been asked to increase our insurance policy (C.O.I.) amounts from 2M to 5M at a couple of venues. Has anyone 'bit the bullet' and is now paying the additional 2k-ish per year? Or does anyone have a better deal they'd like to share? thanks!

So very sad to hear of the passing of David Sanborn. I’ll never forget being gobsmacked when he agreed to play on my very first CD, and equally amazed when he played on my second and third recordings as well. For those not familiar with this iconic Grammy-award winning sax player, he has played with Stevie Wonder, David Bowie, James Brown, Billy Joel, Chaka Khan, James Taylor, Bonnie Raitt and more. I'm humbled and honored to have been part of this list.

One of his recent projects was Sanborn Sessions (www.sanbornsessions.com) which features a lot of great artists including Sting and Michael McDonald in intimate studio settings. Highly recommended.

RIP Dave. Forever grateful for your musical contributions here, there and everywhere.
