Sometimes when browsing the web, inspiration strikes. That’s what happened to me in 2009, when an ad flashed across my screen for the Chicago School of Floral Design (now known as Design Schools of America). Somewhere within, my spirit recalled that I had always thought floral design would be fun to learn, so I registered for the course with my teacher and author of Design Star, Michael Gaffney. A

s the class progressed, my creative juices began to flow and I fell in love with the possibilities that floral work inspired. So when I finished the course and bumped into one of my friends at Kennicotts (the floral wholesaler in Chicago) and she desperately needed help with a wedding that she promised to do, Voila! a business was born. We got the flowers to the church on time and so enjoyed doing so that ever since, I have been creating flowers for weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, and milestone celebrations. With input from my clients, I love to custom create magnificent flowers to compliment any occasion.

"Miriam worked with us for our wedding, providing both the chuppah and flowers. She met with us multiple times in person before the wedding to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted. Her team provided setup and tear down for everything and it went very smoothly. The flowers were beautiful and the chuppah was exactly what we were looking for. The birch tree poles and flowers/ivy decorations really made it stand out above the other options we had looked at. We would recommend Miriam to others, especially those looking for a chuppah in the Chicago area!"

Miriam was a pleasure to work with. She listened to exactly what we envisioned for the bridal bouquet, chuppah, chairs, and wedding cake. The bouquets were all stunningly gorgeous and perfect for a late summer wedding. We received many complements from guests. We highly recommend using Ooh-Ahh Floral Design for any special event!
