City View is looking for highly motivated individuals to handle event logistics and oversee facility operations on clients’ wedding day. Additional event types may also be required, such as baby/bridal showers, and special functions.

Responsibilities:
• Meet with the wedding director to review wedding details prior to weddings you are responsible for. No two weddings are the same at City View, so it is essential to understand the event details from beginning to end. The event details list includes all event logistics, vendors, key contacts, catering, timing, and special instructions.
• Oversee on the day of the wedding to ensure planned logistics are in place and executed on time. I.e., layout complete, assist with audio and visual as needed, special instructions executed, etc. You will be the main point of contact for client, hired vendors, bartenders and security.
• Address any new requests/questions/concerns that arise.
• Discreetly deal with any problems or issues that may arise.
• Ensure a positive experience for clients and their guests.

Skills:
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Organization and attention to detail is key
• Ability to stay calm under pressure
• Follow directions, plans and event vision provided
• Previous wedding planning/event experience is a plus but not required
• Ability to work quickly and as a team in a fast-paced environment
• Bartender experience but not required

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift 30-60 lbs. (i.e., load, unload and move supplies and equipment, set up and tear down tables and chairs if needed)
• Standing, walking, bending, and stooping for extended periods – 75% or more of the workday may be standing on feet.

Hours:
• Work Friday evenings, weekends, and possible holidays including potential early morning, daytime, and late evening shifts.

Adhering to event safety standards.

Assuming the role of Ticket Taker and welcoming guests.
Setting up lighting and sound equipment.
Working at a concession stand and serving food and drinks.
Dispensing useful information to event-goers.
Inspecting equipment for damage after use and checking it against an inventory list.
Packing up equipment when the event is completed.
Busing tables
Support bartenders and event staff.
Helping to manage social media profiles.
Photographing events.
Creating engaging content for social media channels.

Event Staff Requirements:

Diligence and attention to detail.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Physical stamina and high energy levels.
Good problem solving skills.
Ability to perform under stress.
Excellent multitasking ability.
Conflict management skill.
Working knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.
Creative mind with finger on the pulse of current social media trends.

Job Types: Part-time, Internship
