Every day, individuals with special needs face the risk of wandering off, often placing themselves in dangerous situations. At Anderson Woods Camp, we are dedicated to creating a safer world for these vulnerable community members through specialized tracking tools and programs. We will be implementing Project Lifesaver to ensure all our campers are safe.
Project Lifesaver (https://projectlifesaver.org/) is dedicated to Bringing Loved Ones Home by providing law enforcement, search/rescue, and caregivers with a program designed to protect, and when necessary, quickly locate individuals with cognitive disorders who are prone to wandering. The method relies on proven radio technology allowing an individual to be found based on a small transmitter worn by the camper that emits an individual frequency signal.
Project Lifesaver ($15,000 one-time cost) is Anderson Wood’s next step towards a safer environment. Your generous contribution can help implement his life-saving resources and provide peace of mind to families.
