Let's Celebrate our Seniors! Remember to follow all social-distancing guidelines, and let's get out and celebrate these kids!
Celebrating Jacob Bundy!
After graduation, Jacob plans on a GAP year but will be seeking apprenticeship at Piper Electric while attending night school
His favorite memory is Marching Band Freshman year and going to state that year!
Jacob's advice for underclassmen is to "Live in the now!"
Congrats Jacob! We can't wait to see what you do in the years ahead.
And for Jabob's Mom, "Go BAND!"
Today we celebrate Elayna McGee!
Elayna will be attending CU Boulder with a major in theatre and dance and a minor in animal biology.
Her favorite memory in high school is learning new tosses in colorguard.
Congrats Elyana! Go BUFFS!!
Celebrating Kayla Johnson!
Kayla says:
I will be majoring in music education and musical theater but have not committed to a school yet.
My favorite memories of high school are any of the amazing events with Evergreen's performing arts, whether it be performing in the choir concerts, working on the musical, or cracking jokes with Mr. cruse.
My advice for underclassman is to get involved as much as you can in this program, it’s something I will never regret or forget.
Congrats Kayla! We can't wait to see where you land!
Today we celebrate Ellie Cothran!
Ellie tells us:
I will be attending Colorado State University for a music education major.
My favorite memories from high school were playing at CMEA at the Broadmoor hotel and performing at CHASAA with the school orchestra.
My best advice for underclassmen is to just be yourself because everyone is unique and being yourself is the best version of you that you can be.
Congrats Ellie! Go Rams!
Celebrating Mariah Lefford in our class of 2020 Tributes!
Mariah tells us:
After High School, I am attending the Leeds School of Business at CU Boulder.
My favorite memories from high school include all of my friends and the experiences that the Orchestra family experienced together. I will be forever grateful for that.
My advice for underclassmen is to enjoy and be grateful of where you are because time goes very quickly and high school will be over before you know it.
Congrats Mariah! Go BUFFS!
Celebrating our 2020 Music Grad today: Kit Winfrey
Kit will be attending the University of Colorado Boulder in the Fall and plans on majoring in Psychology.
His favorite memories from high school are going to music competitions with the other musicians, dancing around in a mattress costume during a fundraiser, and playing with his band and orchestra friends at Madrigals.
His advice to underclassmen is to enjoy every moment and have fun, it goes by very quickly.
Congrats Kit!! GO BUFFS!!!
Celebrating Hayden Schreiber!
Hayden will be attending CU Boulder’s chemistry program in the fall.
Her favorite memories are going to cadaver lab down the hill, having lunch with all of her friends, and Mr. Carver‘s class
She advises younger students to not get rid of your free period
Congrats Hayden! GO BUFFS!!
This morning we honor Owen Kingsbury
Owen says:
I am going to Saint John's College and majoring in Philosophy.
I played for a lot of ensembles, but my favorite memory is when the entire battery shared a butterscotch candy by taking turns sucking on it.
My advice for underclassmen is to be more like Ryan Sontag.🤔
Highlighting Becca Poplinger!
Becca is going to CU Denver under their pre-med program with an undeclared major.
Her favorite memories from high school are mostly being with her friends. She loved her freshman marching band year, Zodiac.
Advice for underclassmen:
Don't take everything so seriously. You're a kid, take the time to have fun and be yourself. Don't worry about what anyone thinks about you. Nothing is going to last forever, the best thing you can learn now, is how to forgive and forget. Don't waste your time dwelling on the past because you'll miss the present.
Congrats Becca! Go out and do great things!
Today we celebrate Lauren Oeser
Lauren says:
I plan on taking a gap year after I graduate high school. During this year, I will be practicing my violin and preparing for college auditions/college music programs.
My favorite memories from high school were the Madrigal faires, going to CHSAA with the whole orchestra, and going to CMEA this year. I really liked being a part of the big performing arts family.
My advice for underclassmen is to use your high school years in whatever way you think will help you be as successful as you strive to be. Most importantly, have fun while this time lasts. You won’t get another high school experience in your life.
Congrats Lauren! We can't wait to see you fly!
Showcasing Ari Williams!
Ari says:
I will be attending Minneapolis College of Art and Design with a major in animation and a minor in creative writing.
My favorite memory from high school was my freshman year marching show in the finals in Grand Junction and all of the memories down there.
Some advice I have for freshman is to look for the good in everything. even though things might seem down, you’re here for a reason. hold onto that.
Congratulations Ari! Go Grizzlies!
Our next Senior is Morgan Nusser
Morgan tells us:
I plan to go to college at KU (University of Kansas). I will be majoring in marine biology and minoring in the performing arts. I don't really have a favorite memory. But if I had to say I would say it was state freshman year. I loved the fun that was there. Honestly the fact that we went that far for once in our lives was just amazing. No one but this graduating class knew what it felt like, and now we are leaving out legacy behind. For ALL of the underclassman, just remember what you do to a person will stick with them FOREVER. There are some people that are going to be leaving the school this fall and they will forever be haunted by what you did or said to them.
Congrats Morgan! Go Jayhawks!
Our second senior for today is Sean Moran!
Sean is planning to go to college at CSU in Fort Collins, majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Information Systems. He tells us that his favorite memories from high school are napping in a fort in the ensemble room during indoor percussion season.
His advice for younger students is to "Do your part but don’t forget to have fun!"
Sean, we wish you the best of luck! Go Rams!
And our next EHS Instrumental Music Class of 2020 Graduate... Liv Heyner!
Liv tells us:
I’m attending CU Boulder in the fall as an English major, and I’m planning on getting licensed to teach at a secondary level. Some of my favorite high school experiences took place at marching and winter percussion competitions, and I also enjoyed peer mentoring a kindergarten class at Wilmot and volunteering. I definitely advise freshmen to join clubs and volunteer. These offer great opportunities to meet a variety of new people!
Congratulations Liv! Go Buffs!

Maddie Sontag
Maddie will be attending Gonzaga University as an Environmental Studies and Sustainable Business double major. She will minor in music, continuing to play the tuba in the wind ensemble. She is also excited to join the Gonzaga Rowing team. Maddie’s favorite memories from high school were driving late at night with her friends listening to throwback music, learning to play the tuba like a boat, indoor percussion, participating in basketball, tennis and swim teams, and spending time outside. She developed a line of communication between Starbucks and local food banks to eliminate food waste.
Maddie’s advice to underclassmen is to not stress too much and not take high school too seriously. Have fun with it and spend quality time with your friends.

Max recommends to younger students to take advantage of every opportunity you can. Take the challenge even if it scares you.
