Our Story @merrilyalongfloral

Inspired by the lovely British book, Wind in the Willows, Merrliy Along-Floral Design is merrily on its way to, as the song says, “no where in particular” while becoming a small, locally grown, organic Floral provider and designer for personal and small public events, weddings, funerals, baby showers and all occasions.

We have 5 acres but utilize about a third of it. I have gardened for over thirty years but am expanding into specialty cut flower growing to provide clients and non profits with beautifully grown, locally fresh flowers.

I am not promoting my business until next year, after I retire from teaching. Until then, I will continue to do weddings for friends and bouquets for those who need them..

These are my initial learning years- taking classes from @Floretfarms and @Triplewren, joining organizations and becoming a member of a consortium of flower growers. I am addicted to Pod casts, flower farming books, private Facebook groups on floristry and apply what I am learning by expanding growing beds, propagating, planting and harvesting!
