StormHawks Nature Preschool families joined us for our 3rd annual Family Day! ❄️ We had a blast sledding, crafting snow-people, solving cup mazes, exploring animal tracks, and journaling.

Wondering what our Afterschool Explorers have been up to? We've got you covered! 🌟
This past fall semester, students across all afterschool programs learned about land stewardship and the impact that humans have on the environment, wildlife, and our sources of drinking water.
Our students felt empowered to take action and clean up areas of the community! Some chose different sections of the Mississippi River, which is Minneapolis' main source of drinking water. Later in the semester, students created "junk journals" as a way of repurposing trash!

With the new year, we're excited to re-launch Budding Experts, our student-led interview series! Our January Budding Expert is Birdie, one of our Junior Counselors last summer, who shared some of their favorite parts of teaching young people about nature and creepy crawlies! 🪲🐛🐞

For the past year, Camp Fire Minnesota has been celebrating its first full century of discovery and camp magic 🌟 We want to thank each of you for being part of our 100th year, which was filled to the brim with exciting memories, milestones, and adventures!
This year, we had 2,222 day camp registrations and 1,063 overnight camp registrations, supported by an incredible team of 29 international staff from 10 different countries 🌍. We expanded our afterschool program to 2 new sites (Las Estrellas and Marcy Elementary), hosted 91 field trips at Camp Fire, served over 6,000 students with our Environmental Education program, and brought summer programs to St. Paul—helping even more youth spark curiosity, build connections, and explore the outdoors ✨
