oof. we have a lot of fun with gags and bits around the annual Power Outage Party, but this one is real. and tough given the massive amount of work involved on all levels and sides to pull it off, but so it goes this time of year 😕. due to illness among too many of the 16 performers, both shows (tonight & and tomorrow) have regrettably had to be cancelled. ticket holders will receive refunds in full. thanks for your understanding, and support of small, grassroots venues and amazing artists. 😟❤️✨🕊️

well, dang it. one of the challenges of being a legit Mom & Pop operation is you have to juggle all details, all the time, and things tend to fall through the cracks. like remembering to pay the power bill. 😬🙃

we took all the proceeds from last night’s sold out show with David Francey, paid the bill, but power won’t be restored until Monday. but that’s ok - the shows must go on!

tonight and tomorrow will be completely acoustic and by battery-operated lights only for the most intimate, unplugged show you could ever imagine. 16 musicians, complete with a string section. can’t wait. 😱🕯️😃🤣❤️

brand new workshop by Molly Meng, and it’s a knock out! and right in time for the holiday season 🎁 come learn how to create your own amazing wrapping paper and gift tags! you’ll get to create & carve at least one unique block (to keep) and leave with original prints on various paper sheets & gift tags. no experience necessary. all supplies provided. space VERY limited. 🎨🎄❤️

we couldn’t have timed Cheryl Wheelers two shows with us any better. come make your cheeks hurt from unstoppable smiling and laughter while she shares her humor with songs about potatoes, her pets, and the state of the world. TWO tickets left for tonight, and small handful for tomorrow afternoon (2pm). 🥔🐈🤣

in 2010, the world caught a glimpse of Koyczan’s prodigious talent with his presentation at the opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. that stand-out performance helped shine a light on this street poet from Vancouver’s downtown east side.

it takes a lot to elevate the art form of Spoken Word from its humble beginnings in afterhours cafes to stages like that, and that’s exactly what Shane Koyczan has continued to do - including his “To This Day” video that has had over 24 million views and been taught in classroom’s like Sarah’s for the past 10+ years.

getting a whole lot closer!! new walkway lighting is in, side ramp almost done, and construction on the main entrance ramp is slated to start tomorrow, bringing us really close to making this gathering space accessible to everyone - a goal of ours for some time now. can’t wait. huge thanks to Exeter Lumber for donating the materials to make this possible. ❤️

what a night. what a sea of happiness and fun. just about as intimate as one can get seeing Griffin William Sherry live, and amazingly we get to do it all again tonight. it’s long been sold out, but you can catch the incredible Laura Cortese & The Dance Cards on Sunday, as well as Owloween Sunday afternoon! thanks for being such an awesome community of music fans. 🚀❤️🎸🦉
