Ever have one of those happy, and sad days? Today is the end of a chapter for us. The KC’s Red Hots trailer has sold! I loved the trailer, and the business my wonderful wife and I built, but it was time for a change. For everyone ever associated with KC’s Red Hots, whether our help, or a customer…thank you from the bottom of my heart. You made it all worth while. The biggest thank you however goes to my beautiful bride. Thank you for everything…I love you with all my heart.

They say that all good things come to an end. I took a joke( at that point being in a machine shop for 31 years, telling people if it didn’t work out I was gonna buy a Hot Dog Cart and start slingin’ Dogs) and turned it into a very well known business in the local food vendor world.

My beautiful bride, Karen L. Carlin and I worked our butts off season after season cranking out Hot Dogs, Burgers and the best Fries in the area. Now those days grow short. We decided two months ago that 2022 would be our final season, and put a For Sale sign in the window of our beloved Red, White, and Yellow trailer.

Unless I get rambunctious coming into the end of the season and book more dates, we have two dates left on our calendar. This Saturday, September 17th we’ll be at the St Albans Bay Harvest Festival at the Park, Noon to 4:30. Then Saturday, September 24th we return to a favorite spot of ours, 1st Republic Brewing Co. on the River Rd in Essex Jct.

I will be posting some things in the near future including details on the sale of our trailer and equipment. Thank you everyone who supported us over the years, it’s been fun, and I will truly miss every minute I have spent cooking for you.

Today will be a good one as we all remember 9/11. We head to the National Guard base at Burlington Airport for their Open House. We serve from 11:00
AM to 3:00 PM. The event begins at 10:00 AM. Stop by and check it out, and grab a bite!!

So tomorrow we head out early to be at Vergennes Day on the Green in the heart of town from 10 AM-3 PM. That’s always a great event with a lot of different vendors.

Then we tear down there and head to 1st Republic Brewing Co. on the River Road in Essex Jct to serve it up from 6-9 PM, with music by JerBorn. If you haven’t heard him, you’re missing out, so stop by for some great music, awesome beer, and what’s sure to be some marvelous food. We might even be running a couple specials for our friends there!!

Hey Folks, Two events to catch us at this week: Tomorrow 4:30-7:30 PM at St Albans Bay Park for the Farmer’s Market, and Saturday back at the park for the St Albans Bay Brewfest! Looks like the weather will cooperate so we should be good to go!

Coming up next week, we’re back at the Bay Thursday for the Farmer’s Market, always with live music, and then Saturday we’re out at two events. 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM we’re at the green in Vergennes for Vergennes Day....always a great event with plenty of vendors. Then we make our much anticipated return to see our friends at 1st Republic Brewing Company on the River Road in Essex Jct! Can’t wait!! So make plans, and come out and see us!

Usually I look forward to Thursdays at the St Albans Bay Farmer’s Market at St Albans Bay Park because there’s always live music, and what goes better with cooking than live music? However, if there’s one thing I’ve learned over my years as a mobile food vendor, if there is rain in the forecast, I might as well stay parked at home. Unfortunately todays forecast is being hindered by Mother Nature and right in the middle of things there is a good chance we might experience some moisture. So, KC’s Red Hots will not be at the Farmer’s Market tonight, August 4th, 2022. Thanks for your continued support and we’ll see you soon.

Then we have Heartless, New England’s ultimate tribute to Heart and LED Zeppelin. Also taking the stage tonight is Scarab, the Journey Experience with the music of Journey.

This is going to be a great night of food and music. Tickets available at the gate...so come on out and have a great Saturday night. This event runs 4-10 PM, so get there early to get a great spot!

Tomorrow, St Albans Bay Park for the Farmer’s Market 4:30-7:30 PM ought to be a good one. Soulshine Revival, a tribute to the Allman Brothers Band will be cranking out the tunes and KC’s Red Hots will be cranking out the food! Then Friday we move back to Essex Alliance Church on Old Stage Rd in Essex for the final food truck festival of the season there. Open to the public 5:00-8:00 PM. The first one in June featured 17 food vendors...it was a party!!

Then Saturday we return to home turf in Fairfax at the Community Park for the Summer Mash Up starting time 4:30 PM with the Ducky Race kicking off at 5:30 PM. KC’s Red Hots and the Waffle Wagon will be serving up the eats, a bunch of craft vendors will be set up and the Buck Hollers will be supplying the live music...

So make some plans to come out and see us at one, or all of our upcoming events, and have a great weekend!!

Hello, and Welcome to Friday!! This time of year, I love having something cold on a hot day, kinda brings me back to my youth with the ice cream trucks coming down my street. Now there’s all kinds of ice cream from all over, however, there’s one local ice cream that far surpasses all others. Sisters of Anarchy Ice Cream with their scoop shop at 4947 Spear St in Shelburne has hands down the best, freshest, tastiest ice cream I’ve ever had.

With all that said, and no I wasn’t paid to state any of that, KC’s Red Hots will participate in Friday on the Farm today from 5-8 PM. Great music, food and ice cream all in one location. Stop by, kick back from a long week, and enjoy.

9:45 PM on Sunday, July 3, 2022 and I have a moment to sit and reflect over the past three nights. We at KC’s Red Hots would like to thank all the people who were at the St Albans Bay Farmer’s Market Thursday night, the people of Fairfax and surrounding areas who came out for the Party in the Park and Fireworks Friday night, and everyone who came out to St Albans Bay Park last night for Bay Day and the Fireworks!

It’s been a blur of French Fries (470 Lbs), burgers and hot dogs so it was nice to have today off for a breather. We’ll be back at it tomorrow at Smuggler’s Notch Resort for their 4th of July Celebration, so plan a night in the mountains and come up and see us. Thank you all.

I don’t usually advertise events too early, however this one is not to be missed. September 11, 2022, OUR Vermont National Guard will hold their Open House for the public. You don’t often get the chance to see behind the scenes at their facility at Burlington International Airport.

Well, Mother Nature is screwing with us again!!! Tonight’s St Albans Bay Farmer’s Market has been cancelled due to incoming bad weather.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed that this is the last one that gets cancelled!!

Saturday, June 18th we stay close to home at the Fairfax Community Park located at 75 Hunt St, for the Summer Mash-Up Kids Edition. The band Sooner or Later will be there along with food and a ton of fun!! So stop by and check it out, your favorite Michigans will be there!!
