Dinner al fresco is always a dream in the Northeast, but one special night last summer at it became a reality ✨

With gorgeous and dry weather in the forecast, the rain plan tent was called off but the floor remained to allow for a more prominent space for cocktail hour.

As the rental trucks were pulling in, we made the decision to move dinner from inside the barn, to outside in the open air giving these guests an absolutely incredible dining experience.

An es**rt display is such an critical design element for us and always included in our design conversations during our build out. In most cases, we love to include it during cocktail hour, especially if it’s interactive to prevent a bottle neck as guests transition into dinner.

This custom print being used here as wallpaper for the background of this board was also the invitation envelope liner. Additionally it was printed as custom cocktail napkins for the evening, and was a sneak peak into the tabletop design & esthetic of the reception space. It’s all about the intentional details ✨

To top it all off, I think it’s safe to say crushed the floral element!

Okay now swipe. It’s tented — with the most gorgeous clear top tent — free of site lines, center poles and stress about the potential rain. This plan started as a rain plan, then became the best plan and we’re forever in awe of these photos 💫

Trust us when we tell you the importance of a rain plan tent. This decision truly is just as important as all others, but know we’re always in favor of the best weather for you ☀️

In their words..."We wanted our ceremony to feel intimate despite there being around 220 attendees, so we chose to do a bell shaped setup around the chuppah for our guests rather than straight rows. We chose to have our chuppah be natural, simple and breezy to complement the gorgeous surrounds at Weekapaug. For the reception, we wanted an enchanted, fun, and joyous feel retaining the intimacy from the ceremony, so we designed it with a lot of warm candlelight, mostly low flowers so people could talk across tables, and a pretty elaborate lighting installation on the ceiling of the tent to look like stars in the sky. We also chose a clear tent so that our guests could still see out into the beautiful area despite being covered and to emphasize the starry night feeling and reflectiveness of the candles. And all throughout we wanted to make sure everyone had more than enough food!
