It's always bittersweet when we wrap up a season. This one was a very hot, long one. You'd think it would be getting easier as we catch our stride during the summer but these days that's not the case. It's a crazy business but I'd put our team against anyone in our class which really, we're definitely biased but we're in a class of our own.

That's because of our team. The Marion County Maintenance Department works diligently every day all summer long to keep things in working order. That alone is a major undertaking. Thanks to the whole crew, Fred Young, Mike Drees, Mark Vianni, Christian Love, Justin Sanders and especially Jim Alltop to manning the Splash Park all summer long. We also have to give a shout out to Dennis Sanders for getting our cooling fan going on those 98 degree days. You were a lifesaver!

To The Op Shop, we really can't thank you all enough for the work you all do keeping the park clean all summer long, especially during the events. THANK YOU!

To Erik "Dogman" Priest who keeps the grounds looking like a golf course all summer long no matter if it's drought or monsoon. 10 years in and the park has never looked better.

To Active Air Production we just can't really say enough. These guys and gals juggle so much week in, week out through ridiculous demands and even when personal tragedies occur, the show always goes on. Cheers to you all for another incredible season! 🍻

To the Marion County Police Reserves for handing security and parking all hot summer long. We can't thank you all enough. It's a testament to the folks who come to Palatine but we had little to no issues this summer and for that we thank all of you. Also to the Fairmont Police Department, W.Va. and Marion County WV Sheriff's Office for helping with uniformed and plain clothes officers throughout the summer. We greatly appreciate your service! 🫡

Here's the rundown for Saturday, August 24 👇👇👇

#1. There are no tickets. All of our shows are free to the public.

#2. Show is all ages and starts at 7PM

#3. You can bring coolers into the park AND we have vendors. Radd Concessions, Wright Dawgs , Mi Segunda Casa Food Truck , Rollie Pollie Egg Roll Factory

#4. We have tables that fill up early and covered bleachers that can hold 100 people comfortably but most people bring chairs.

#5. There's plenty of parking around the park. The lot behind the amphitheater is reserved for bands, staff and vendors and will be closed until we open it for handicapped parking at 5PM. Everest Drive is open to all as well as the parking lot above the park off of Merchant Street and it's all free.

#6. We're pretty laid back BUT, please no pop-ups, tents or anything that could block someone else's view. Also, please no pets.

#7. We encourage you to have a good time but ask that you stay mindful of the people around you.

#8. Enjoy the show!!!

There's a lot going on today so make sure you check out all that Fairmont and Marion County have to offer.

Main Street Fairmont is having a Hometown Market & Master Gardeners' 15th Annual Tomato Festival from 10 AM to 3PM on Monroe St!

We also have tons of shops, breweries, restaurants, stores, etc in the area especially if you would need to dodge a rain drop or kill some time before 7PM when we bring to you Half Step - A Grateful Dead Tribute. Show is rain or shine so come prepared.

Hard to believe that we're down to the last two shows of our 10 year anniversary summer. We're keeping the party going strong until it's over.

This Saturday, August 17 don't miss Half Step - A Grateful Dead Tribute starting at 7PM. No opener just 2 hour long sets with a break in between.

Then for our last show of the summer, we're bringing down the house with Absolute Queen The Ultimate Tribute to Queen on Saturday, August 24 at 7PM.
