Exhausted. It’s Graduation Season so it’s to be expected. However, this little post-it sealed in an envelope brought me to tears 🥹

Lydia threw her Husband a surprise 80th birthday. She knew nothing about me other than I was a recommendation from a friend. She didn’t know that we threw my Nana a surprise 80th, or how close we were, or that she passed just a year ago & how close i hold her in my heart ❤️

I put my heart into every project, but this one was extra special.

What does the word Charcuterie mean to me? It’s social, it’s gathering, it can be a few leftovers strewn in a bowl or art beautifully placed. It’s noshing after a long day at work, venting between bites and sips from your favorite wine glass. It’s that golden hour, with your favorite people feeling. Charcuterie is happy.

P.S. Do not look up the actual definition of Charcuterie.

People always ask me, “how’d you get into this?” If you’ve know me a long time it makes perfect sense. One, I love entertaining … I know, I sound like one of those peeps on getting their kitchen remodeled. Two, I love creating something a little extra. I always wanted people leaving a party I hosted, smiling, maybe a lil tipsy with a belly full of yummy food, knowing how much joy it brought me hosting them.

I still owe thanks to my Husband and Father-in-law, who happened to be in town, and per usual gets roped into helping design / build one of my wild ideas.
