Hey, wonderful community! 💖 As many of you know, my journey as a breast cancer survivor has been a rollercoaster ride filled with challenges and triumphs. After facing chemo and a double mastectomy, my body has changed in ways I never imagined, including dealing with painful lymphedema in my arms. But through it all, I’ve learned the importance of resilience and self-care.

Today, I’m thrilled to announce something that’s incredibly close to my heart: Our brand-new Salad Bar at Nona’s Lounge! 🥗✨

As a busy mom and entrepreneur, I know how tough it can be to prioritize healthy eating amidst the chaos of life. That’s why I’m so passionate about this new venture! I believe Fall River deserves a delicious place to create your own fresh salads, packed with all the goodness we need to fuel our bodies and souls. Our location is perfect! Right on the waterfront walking paths. 🙌🏼

In 2017, I made a courageous decision to resign from my position while navigating the ongoing battle with aggressive breast cancer. It was a pivotal moment, one that ignited a fire within me. I vividly remember the day Primo came home and asked me what I had accomplished. With pride, I replied, "I opened our LLC." Holding up the Secretary of State printout for Primo Hospitality Solutions LLC, I shared my vision: this would be our holding company, a foundation for our future.

Our journey began with a passion for training and development, starting with a bartender school. From there, we envisioned evolving into a full-service catering business, with a five-year goal of establishing a brick-and-mortar "mother hub" to house all our ventures. Each day has been a commitment to growth—I dove into books, joined networking groups, and honed my culinary and mixology skills.

One of my first steps was to create a logo that encapsulated our brand's essence. Once the design was finalized, I proudly placed it on my coffee cup. While many suggested putting it on t-shirts and sweatshirts, for me, the coffee cup held special significance. It served as a daily reminder of my goals and aspirations. As an entrepreneur, I understood that success requires grit and determination; no one else would come to my aid.

Every morning, I start my day with that mug, and now, with an updated logo that reflects our growth, it feels like a true throwback to where it all began. The journey is not just about business; it's about resilience, passion, and the relentless pursuit of our dreams. How exhilarating it is to see how far we’ve come!

Since 2012, Mistletoes Community Foundation has been a beacon of hope, providing footwear to those in need. But this year, we’re turning our focus inward and deepening our mission. We’re not just about filling trunks with shoes—we’re about understanding the unique stories behind each recipient. Our goal? To deliver the exact shoes or sneakers that resonate with the individual, celebrating their individuality and spirit!

Imagine the joy of receiving a gift that feels personal, a pair of shoes that truly reflects who you are, something you picked out, but strangers purchased- all for you! We believe that when you unwrap a gift, it should come with a sense of belonging and support, not loneliness. This season, we are thrilled to celebrate the amazing students of Robert M. Medeiros Resiliency Preperatory Academy. These inner-city youth are the future, and we are committed to ensuring they don’t feel left behind. Many face challenges beyond their control, and together, we can make a difference! Let's stop trying to hide them and embrace them, and be the role models they desperately need.

In collaboration with dedicated teachers, mentors, and principals, we’re harnessing technology to connect with students to receive a link to the exact shoes they desire. Once the shoes are delivered to our headquarters at Primo's (Unit D), students will have designated times to pick them up or we can drop them off—making sure every step they take is filled with confidence!

Tomorrow is a momentous day for the Primo Family! Ten years ago, our son was just a little one, and my life took a dramatic turn when I was diagnosed with breast cancer on September 22, 2014. Just two days before my birthday October 2nd 2014, I began my journey with my first round of chemotherapy, affectionately known as the "red devil."

With immense support from my family, friends, and our community, I faced multiple surgeries and years of treatment. Cancer can feel isolating, robbing us of control and leaving us feeling like mere shadows of ourselves. Yet, through this battle, I’ve learned the true meaning of strength and resilience.

Now, I proudly stand as a survivor, living fully in the present. Join us in celebrating life at Primo on Water Street from October 1st to 22nd, where we’ve transformed our dining room into a serene pink oasis. We’ll honor the brave women who’ve fought and continue to fight, with pink candles symbolizing those we've lost.

During this special time, we’ll be accepting donations for the Southcoast Cancer Foundation, where I received my care. Enjoy our martinis and cocktails, knowing that $2 from every martini and $1 from every cocktail will go to this cause, with Primo matching every dollar! 💵
