So Halloween got away from me. Things just got too busy. How about you? 🎃

But on a deeper level, I feel like I’ve lost the thread of who I am and what I’m about, DIGITALLY. Do you ever feel like you’re stuck between social mediae? 📲

Instagram Stories was a fun outlet (and I was years late to it!), and then they went and torpedoed my favorite feature. Facebook—just look at the place … TikTok—do I even want to go there? 💡
These days, I’m a wandering trivia ronin., without a bar, without a live audience. But I still spend every living day reading, watching, listening, visiting, learning. While the world is more interesting than it’s ever been, my tools look out of date. Let’s see if we can change that. 🌎

The platforms want video. Tiny bites. They want selfies, faces, you IN the shot. (Oh, and your money, they want your money.) If you’re like me, that doesn’t come naturally. (Be honest: are you REALLY ready for pics of me at Niagara Falls, pretending to drink it?) 📸

Being online--in spite of alllll the manipulation, calculation, and general tendency towards ensh*ttification—still offers the endless promise to reinvent yourself. And if you fail—who cares! As long as you’re not Ben Shapiro or DJ Khaled, what matters if you make yourself look like an idiot? 👀

I plan to start learning a few new tricks, because in my flesh and blood life I feel okay about who I am, but VIRTUALLY, I need to express myself, and I miss playing with you! 🎓 ✏️ 💡
