Looking back at last year and currently at my 2024 bookings, it’s easy to see a trend. A large portion of my referrals come from past couples. It’s common that when working a wedding there are past couples there as guests. Last year was a record for me. I had a wedding with 5 couples attending who I had been the DJ for their weddings! 🙌

Wedding reception opinions no one asked for. 💃🕺The anniversary dance… but in REVERSE! 🔄 What do you think about this?? Even if you’re not big into having slow songs at your wedding, I do think doing the anniversary dance can be a lot of fun! The classic take is you get all the couples on the dance floor and then start to kick them off, revealing the oldest married couple left. There’s nothing wrong with doing it this way, but in my opinion, there can be a few downsides. 1, I’ve now created an empty dance floor, which is not what I want to do as the DJ. 2, this really doesn’t allow much time for most couples to actually have a moment to slow dance with each other. The DJ asks them to come out and then 15 seconds into the song they’re already been kicked off the dance floor. If you do it in reverse, it allows couples some tome to enjoy a more of a slow song with each other. Especially if your goal is to not have too many (if any) other slow songs during your reception. And we’ve also created a FULL dance floor! 🪩

My Story

It's very hard to write about yourself, but here it goes! I have been in the DJ business since 2006. Growing up in Saint Paul MN, it all started with my passions of music and dance and with my collection of "NOW That's What I Call Music" CDs (yes, I do continue to collect them on CD). Middle school through High school I was apart of a competition dance company where I learned even more about music and my ear for a great dance beat. In 8th grade the "DJs" of our dances were the teachers... so I offered to help out and put those CDs to good use! As I grew, so did my passion for playing music to a crowd. It progressed to leading the charge as the DJ for many middle school and high school dances throughout the Twin Cities. In 2009 I moved to North Dakota for college and graduated from University of Jamestown with that Bachelors of Science in Nursing. During my time in ND is when the wedding side of my business took off and that's when FUZE Mobile Entertainment was born.

As a DJ/MC and business owner I continue to grow and educated myself by learning from every event, being involved with many local wedding vendors, and attending conventions and workshops. Working with your DJ shouldn't be weird or awkward. I strive to have my company portray professionalism while also being personable and adaptable. I am here to help you though your wedding planning. Not only can I give you suggestions of great grand entrance songs or fun dance moves to use in your first dance. But also to answer any non-DJ questions you might have such as, where is a good spot to place my head table? Or, who do you recommend for a photographer?
