I used to think these were the good guys, but now I am not so sure. They will eat anything and everything. Bees, butterflies, even hummingbirds on occasion. And by the way they follow me with their creepy rotating heads, I think they would totally take a bite out of me.

Have you ever wanted to walk amongst the flowers on a summer evening? For the last several years, I have wanted to invite people into the space to do just that. We will harvest as we go filling a medium bucket of stems for you to take home. Discussions on types of flowers, growing tips, harvesting for maximum vase life, etc, will be discussed too!
With this being my last season in NJ and as a potentially as a flower farmer, I would love to share some of what I have learned and the beauty of growing flowers.
Each appointment can accommodate 1 or 2 people to allow for free-flowing conversation one on one. These will be approximately 30-minute sessions, with only two sessions offered each evening. My first appointments will start on Thursday, September 12th, to be extended into October. The first time slot will start anywhere from 5 pm - 5:30, ending at 6PM and the second 6 pm 6:30 ending at 7PM.
Cost $70, including tax per person.

I am having so many bittersweet moments with this being my last few months farming at my home and @calgogardens. There are lots of last times coming up, last harvestings, last sharing my passion with the best clients, last csa offerings, last weddings, last saying "these really are my favorite", last walks among the flowers, last of the Bees, birds and butterflies floating in this particular safe haven, last postings to social media and the list of last goes on.

I won't be leaving until November, so there is plenty of time for lots of floral beauties, but in reality, not really much time at all.

I am all about a clean garden. It makes me crazy to have weeds and overgrown rows. I wish I wasn't like that as it has become a full-on obsession that just won't let go.
I am not like that in any other part of my life, so I am not sure where it comes from or why it manifest itself in just this one area.

The process of moving young starts from the house to the porch and next to the field.
The ranunculus have been outside for the last couple of weeks as they need, and like the cold, the sweet peas also have been out more often than not, and the others just began the gardening off process today.
Spring planting time is quite close, and these babies will be producing flowers in a couple of short months.
