We are excited to welcome our newest intern Vontiniece! She started on Monday and has already attended a 60 day client meeting, updated a timeline, wrote a blog post, made some canva marketing slides, watched a recording of a new bride consult (that is booked btw ✅🎉) is working on some client gift 🎁 preparations and much more! Here is a little bit about our new intern and how our internship will help her with her education journey. For Vontiniece weddings have always been a guilty pleasure. She was curious about months of planning that could go into either one or two days of celebration. What initially was an interest in watching weddings planned on television has become an esteemed interest into being in the wedding planning process itself. She is currently studying Film Production and minoring in Creative Writing at Oakland University. Film production doesn’t always lead into planning weddings, but Vontiniece wants to use her major to do cinematography for weddings.
She is on the journey of learning a new industry and is very excited to be knowledgeable about the subject. She feels like her favorite parts of Wedding Planning would be when the color palette is chosen. So, she can get a feel of what everything is going to look like. Along with setting up on the day of. Finally putting all the pieces together would be great to see!
Her hobbies include coming up with short scripts in her free time, reading random short stories, and learning new dances. She loves being able to see the beginning process of the wedding all the way to the big day. A thing she’s only been able to witness from one older sister. She hopes to learn through this internship how to think quickly on her feet when it comes to quick problem solving. Being in a management position and handling all of the modes of communication.

Meet our newest intern, Sherry! She is living and working virtually from Indiana. We typically only take student interns but check out the fun fact and you will see why we were happy to have Sherry join us through the end of July. Fun Fact! She’s a friend of our most recent intern, Yun-ting whom talked so highly about her internship that Sherry wanted to join the team and contribute her skills while learning some new ones. As a recent graduate from University of South Florida with a Master’s degree in Business Analytics and an impending bride-to-be this June, she found herself immersed in the world of wedding planning. What initially began as a personal project quickly evolved into a passion. The intricacies of organizing such a significant event, coupled with her analytical mindset, have led her to discover a deep interest in the art of wedding planning. Now, as she is on a journey to plan her own wedding, Sherry finds herself drawn to the idea of turning her newfound passion into a profession. She loves to travel around the world to learn different cultures and customs and to date she has been to over 20 countries. She enjoys using credit card points to make her trips more accessible during her free time. During the YTB internship Sherry would like to learn skills such as planning, analysis and communication.

Hello, everyone! I’m Yun-Ting from Taiwan, currently a second-year master’s student in Global Sustainable development at the University of South Florida. You might be curious how a student focusing on sustainability could be interested in weddings. Well, that’s something I’ve been curious about too. Throughout my academic journey, I’ve discovered that almost everything can be connected to sustainable development, including weddings. This realization sparked many insightful discussions between Tracie and me regarding sustainable weddings. Integrating everyday life with environmental principles has always been a passion of mine. This combination makes me deeply feel that sustainability is not just a lifestyle but also a set of values and a responsibility for the future. Besides my academic pursuits, I am an avid traveler, finding immense joy in exploring diverse cultures, breathtaking landscapes, and understanding various perspectives across the globe. As I embark on this internship journey at You’re The Bride, I am excited to blend my passion for sustainable practices with my love for travel, seeking inspiration from different cultures to create innovative and globally conscious wedding experiences. Hi Everyone, I’m Courtney! I’m a freshmen at Southern New Hampshire University in North Carolina. I’m currently studying to receive a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and Media Arts to become a Graphic Designer. I hope my degree can help me obtain a job doing invitation design for a bridal company. My hobbies include watching say Yes to the Dress, reading romance novels and baking. I wanted this internship because weddings have been a life-long passion of mine. I love being able to see the ex*****on of every detail, big and small, from beginning to end. I hope to learn more about the management of a wedding from planning pre-wedding appointments to the send-off on their special day. Also, I hope to learn more creative problem-solving skills to ensure that every bride’s day is seamless to allow the couple to have the fairytale wedding of their dreams.
