Introduction Friday: Many of you know Will and I spent the majority of last summer on a pretty epic cross-country road trip. It’s something I had dreamed about since high school and an experience for which I have 0 regrets. We’re often asked where our favorite places were.

Diana: The desert! It was scorching hot by the time we arrived in late July, but I was enamored with everything... the Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, Sedona, all of Utah!

Will: Yellowstone, Glacier, and Banff/Jasper

But ya’ll, there were so many gems in between. Teddy Roosevelt NP and Custer State Park (South Dakota) were magical. Mount Rainier was breathtaking. Olympic National Park and all of its sea life filled me with wonder. Our beautiful country (and Canada) offer so much to explore. If it’s ever been on your bucket list, let a US roadtrip become a reality!!

Friday Introductions - Wow, it’s been awhile since we’ve done a proper Friday Introduction. We’ve got a lot of new faces here, so we’d love to take a moment to introduce you to the couples behind The Greenes Photo and Films.

We are Will + Diana Greene. We capture approximately 40 weddings each year across eastern NC and the Triangle. We started our business in 2014 and love the unique opportunity it allows us to meet so many couples each year. We take a balanced approach to weddings - planning so that the day will go as smoothly as possible, but also allowing for real, authentic moments. We love pretty details, but enjoy aspects of the day that show off a couple’s personality just as much. We’ll always hope for beautifully posed Golden Hour shots, but we also recognize capturing the day as it organically unfolds is the best way to share the story of a wedding day.

The first thing I said to this beautiful group when I walked in during Saturday’s frigid cold was that I wouldn’t make them go outside for photos. What did I do?? Wellllll, here’s photographic proof we spent some time outside! So grateful that + ’s wedding party was willing to do anything for the wedding gallery!!!

Capturing details almost feels like cheating to me. It’s such an easy, carefree way to tell the story of a wedding day. We capture as many details as possible when we first arrive. It’s downright relaxing to me letting my brain be creative before the hustle and bustle of the day begins.

When the gallery is complete, clicking through the detail shots always reminds me of all the thought and effort our couples put into planning such special touches for their day.
