Taking care of myself has NEVER been a top priority of mine. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I said it… because it’s true.
I’m NOT proud of it… but it’s TRUE.

Now, before you tell me how important it is to put myself first….
I’ll say… I do KNOW this is important but I still never do it. Or I do it rarely.

Knowing and doing are two entirely different things.

I don’t know if you are like me but if something goes wrong or if I get hurt, sick, something isn’t right… I wait till the last possible moment to seek a doctor (in most cases, not all cases).

I just always tell myself: it will pass, it will get better, I’m fine, toughen up…
Or my favorite… I don’t have TIME. 😐🥺

It actually all comes down to TIME!
So I just made this up…

T: Trying
I: Is
M: Mandatory
E: EVERYDAY

TIME

Time to go to the doctor, physical & mental health therapy, exercise, cooking!

What’s funny is… I do take the time for manicures, pedicures and hair appointments…
But let’s be real REAL…. That’s not “taking care of myself”… that’s making me happy but not the things I NEED to take care of.

Ha, now… I’m not saying I intend to stop those fun things… but the TIME spent on those things (for now) has already been shifted.

Some things have unfolded in the last 12 months and I’m at the end of “this” particular road.

The “Melissa comes last” road is now under construction 🚧 ⚠️ ⛔️ ❤️

I’ll be 44 in a few weeks and I’m having a HARD time with it. (LOL I had the same feelings just before I turned 24🙈🤣🤷🏻‍♀️)

So it’s TIME to make some adjustments… so that I don’t feel the same way when 45 rolls around.

Hahahaha most people do this after the new year.
For me, the “new year” starts October 4th. 🙏🏻🎉

Why am I saying this to the world wide interwebs….

One word:

ACCOUNTABILITY

My 2024 word was (IS) FOCUS….

Hey y’all!!! I wanted to show this Fall football wreath off before it shipped out. The customer loved the leaves and requested the blue sunflowers and it turned out presh! Please don’t mind me lookin terrible, I’m just out here trying give y’all something to talk about. 😂
