Don’t buy stuff for your wedding and just pack up the boxes and bags in a closet until your wedding day.

WEDDING PLANNING ADVICE
1. Limit your time on Pinterest and Instagram once you figure out your style, your budget, and your vision. This will keep you from doubting yourself and changing your mind a million times.
2. Share only a few inspirational pictures AND THE SAME PICTURES with your vendors and allow them to work their magic. I promise you will get more for your money and you will get wonderful surprises on your wedding day if you just trust them.
3. Allow your inspirational pictures to just be inspiration and don’t try to copy what you see. This applies to flowers and decor pieces. Your florist and wedding designer has lots of options to achieve the same vibe without being a copycat.

It’s way too easy to get in over your head. Before you know it, you’ve spent an arm and a leg and still don’t have enough flowers and you aren’t happy with what you have. You might even end up having to hire someone to do your flowers anyway.

In the faux flower world, all white takes less time to design than a colorful palette. White and cream…. Can’t get easier than that. Just considering type of flowers and whether or not to use greenery.
Why do faux flowers cost more money than you anticipated? Because we buy wholesale and have to meet minimum order requirements. I might only need 26 roses but have to order 36 and meet a minimum order of sometimes as high as $250.
We DO NOT use craft store flowers. Those are cheap and unrealistic. We use quality silk and real touch blooms that are not sold in stores.
I’ll start buying flowers for your wedding as many as 5 months before your wedding. I gotta do my research especially if your color palette is extensive.

All I knew going into this wedding was there were going to be disco balls at the reception but not at the ceremony and the Bride had bought a huge disco ball. She also wanted white flowers and showed me only a few inspo pictures.
Then she let go. @isabella_white was fabulous to work for!
This is an example of how much more you get from your florist if you allow there to be artistic freedom and just trust.
Your florist understands proportions, colors, textures, and so much more than they can explain or what you’d want to know. It also takes pressure and stress off of you to come up with all the ideas.

Had a recent experience with someone being so excited about my floral pillar designs and basically ready to book, but wanted to talk to her fresh florist about plans and then she would ‘email tomorrow.’
Do you think I got that email? I did not.
I really do not know what happened, however it feels like she is discouraged by her fresh florist for considering faux.
