Mount Sequoyah Center is a community space where all are welcome to enjoy our grounds. We are a multi-faceted space with lodging, dining, event, meeting, and recreation space for the community and visitors. It is a non-profit that welcomes other nonprofits, individuals and businesses to host programs, as well as producing its unique programs such as summer camps, swimming, and tennis. Our mountain top is located just minutes from downtown Fayetteville.

IT IS GIVING TUESDAY!! All day today we are sharing memories with you! Please consider giving so that this community can continue to gather and make lifetime memories on beautiful Mount Sequoyah!

In 1958 I went to camp here. I saw a Prairie Grove guy there, he was 16 and I was 14. I lived in Springdale, and we were at camp together for about a week. His mom didn’t want him driving to see me in Springdale every week after, but he did anyways. We sat together at services on Mount Sequoyah and held hands and wrote notes I remember saying you need to get your eyes checked because he was squinting reading the notes. He did need glasses! He drove to see me until we graduated high school, and when I was 19 we got married. We were married for 58 years, he passed 4 years ago.

Sometimes stormy days at camp mean waiting out the lightning all together and making snack necklaces to munch on throughout the day. 🥨

We love having the flexibility to divide into our smaller groups for some activities or hang out all together in the Bailey Center. We’re all about having a Plan A, a Plan B, a Plan C and usually even a few more after that, especially when dealing with Arkansas weather ⛈️ We so appreciate how flexible our staff and campers are!

If you’ve been thinking of trying our Camp Sequoyah programs, our Thanksgiving and Holiday camps are a great time to see if it’s a good fit for your family!
