Finally got this beautiful speakeasy wedding on the blog 😍

This beautiful winter Kansas City wedding will always be a favorite of mine! There was a beautiful candle lit ceremony, a visit from the chiefs mascot and one of the coolest club receptions I’ve ever seen!

Jay and Delaney had the sweetest rainy wedding day at Ponca creek lodge. It was the most tender sweet day filled with their closest friends and family. And then we danced the night away in the rain. I can’t wait to share more from this intimate wedding.

Not only is it my birthday month but it’s also the same month I get to see my best friend’s Jamaica wedding in the August issue of British Vogue.

Elizabeth and Kevin had one epic weekend in Montego Bay celebrating with their closest friends and family. One thing that was so apparent is how Liz & kev have made such a big impact on all their guests lives. Friendships and love like that is rare. I feel blessed to be able to witness and be apart of it. 🥹❤️

What a nice cherry on top of a beautiful wedding weekend celebrating Caitlin and Matthew Post!! I’m so happy that we took engagement photos at their original wedding venue. To see them in a magazine is beyond exciting!

I’ve been trying to eloquently put together words to describe what winning this award means to me but I’m having a really hard time! Over 10,000 wedding photos from photographers all over the world submitted their work. To have my work chosen is an honor.

When I found out that I won it was a mix of so many emotions. First was ugly crying lol. Next was validation and just thinking about all the people that told me to “get a real job” or ask me how my “little photography business is going”. Then it was the feeling of being SO thankful for all the people that supported me through my artist journey over all these years. The last feeling was how can I use this opportunity as a stepping stone to the future of my business.

The one thing I hope to show others is that you can achieve your dreams if you get out of your own way. Every year this contest pasted me by and I never thought I was good enough to enter. This was my first time to enter EVER and it felt like a big deal to just submit my work. I hope to inspire other artists always. I grew up in a small town in Arkansas with little to no art culture besides my grandparents being painters. I’m now getting published as an international AWARD winning wedding photographer.

And lastly as snoop dog said “I wanna thank me for being me”. 😂

Thank you for having this amazing contest to showcase creative artists all over the world. Thank you to the guest judges for doing the hardest job ever of narrowing down the top 50 wedding photos of 2023 .panic . And to the photographers that submitted their work let’s keep pushing the boundaries of our creativity.
